Re: BROKEN WATER CHANNEL
This type of service is recommended for a vac shop. I would take it to a trusted vac shop for an estimate only.this model is an older one and you may have more issues. the repair can be done if this is all that it needs

I took out all of the screws in the housing, separated the left side from the right from the handle down. There were three screws on the underside of the upper unit. (right where the tanks sit). O those were out I could finally get to the broken hose.
I believe for you to work the upholstery tool the suction tank lid must come off, and the center channel there has to come out for the hose to go into, and then replace the suction tank lid again.
there should also be a second water hose to connect midway down the left side of the unit there little square push/pop out lever. the water hose will connect there and you should be good to go from there. Refer to the manual for the exact directions tho.
-Check to make sure the dirt cup is empty. -Check the filters, If your filters are dirty they can restrict airflow. The black filters only may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent, re-install filters when they are completely dry. -Check for good suction at the end of the upholstery hose. If there is limited suction from the upholstery hose detach the hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through to the opposite end. -Check the lower hose for clogs. Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit and straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or lay unit out flat (the detent will need to be pushed twice) and roll unit on its side with the lower hose towards the top side. Look through the hose for obstructions. Push a broomstick through this lower hose to unclog.
-Check brush belt and replace if broken.
First make sure that you are getting suction from the bottom of he machine. Most of the time the squeegee is worn out which does not allow it to pick up the water like it use to. Turn over the machine and inspect
the squeegee. If it looks worn or bent then it may be time to replace
it. You may also consider replacing the filter. These are the two most
common parts that wear out.

For low suction, check that the flapper on top of the recovery tank hasn't lost its foam rubber gasket. If that's gone, you will get zero suction. If that's in place and the motor is running, you likely have a split in the hose. A service center can replace the hose or you can buy the hose and replace it yourself.
For the leakage from the clean water tank, make sure that the cap isn't leaking. Fill the tank, apply the cap and then hold it in its normal cap-down position. If there is leakage, you can replace the for $3-$4 dollars. If there isn't any leakage, then the problem is inside your unit and a trip to the service center is in order.

Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum. You can down load the owner manual from the Hoover website www.hoover.com . I looked 2 the owner’s manual and it does not show the clear tube but the vacuum does come apart and just back track the clear tube and mark the screws when you disassemble the unit. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. http://www.hoover.com Telephone Contact our Customer Service Department at 1.330.499.9499 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. EST Thanks, Don the Vac Man Go Ahead.
