Check your vent duct, it may got clog inside there. Take off your vent duck from the rear of the dryer. Turn on the dryer again, if it is hot, your vent duct is the issue. Else, you need service man to take care of it.

Will not restart when dryer is hot

Have you checked your vent for blockage? If you have an expandable vent hooked up in back (plastic or foil) make sure it is not squished or collapsed. Also check inside the back of the dryer where the vents hooks up for lint build-up and the vent cap outside for blockage or stuck flap. Douglas

Dries very slow lint is clean have to run and run to dry

make sure the outlet tubes are also clean, also rinse off the lint screen with hot water, softener will clog it and not allow propper air flow, the water wil bead up on the screen if this is true, just keep rinsing till water flows freely

if you have any heat than your element is good, the reason it take's so long to dry the clothe's is due to a blockage, first you nead to look behind the dryer with out moving it to see if the vent hose is pinched off, next try running the dryer with out the vent hose hooked up,if it dry's well than you have a blockage some were between were the vent hose hook's up to the dryer and vent outside.you nead to check the roller's for the clicking noice.

How to hookup side exhaust vent on a Kenmore dryer?

Go to a hardware store and ask for a dryer hook-up kit. You can run the vent to an outside source through a wall or if needed you can exit the exhaust through a roof although I would not do this unless it was the last resort. Instructions for the dryer hook-up are included with the materials.
It consist of connecting a vent hose usually 4 inches to the dryer outlet and running the hose usually a flex hose to another outlet that vents the dryer air outside. The outside connection should have a door that closes when the dryer is not in use to keep rodents and pest out.
