Question about LG 24 in. LDF7810 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Doesnt dry dishes, top rack not clean, has been serviced 3 times

This dishwasher started off fine, weve had it for about 18 months. after about 2 months an error code came up and the dishwasher wouldnt work. it was serviced and repaired. something about the wiring. a couple months later another error code came up, there was a power failure, he ended up replacing the door and the wiring harness. since it has broke this dishwasher: does not dry the dishes at all, leaves the top rack still dirty, and there is often detergent left in the cup. even the door of the dishwasher looks dirty all the time now. it used to be clean after a wash. the only suggestions i get from lg are to: turn the hot water heater up (its already at 130), add rinse agent(its full), and let the hot water run for 30 seconds before use. we have tried all of these and they didnt make a difference. i just dont get how it used to dry dishes and now it leaves them soaking wet, and they say there is nothing wrong with it. please help

If you have checked everything that was mentioned (and none of them are the issue) then either the heater inside the unit is not coming on during the wash and rinse cycles and/or the fan motor inside the door is not coming on during the dry cycle. A technician can easily check this out with the correct tools and by putting the unit into test mode.

As for the top rack dishes being dirty and there being soap left in the dispenser, this sounds like wash motor is either weak or the vario motor is not switching between the upper and lower spray nozzles. The sump assembly should be replaced for this issue.

Kenmore Dishwasher model 665.16369300 won't dry dishes

can you tell me please if all the dishes aren't drying or just the ones on the top rack. i am assuming you have selected the dry at the control panel, if so, you may have a burned out heater element in the bottom of the dishwasher or a non functioning thermostat at the heater. let me know if I can help you further.

LG LDS5811 top rack not cleaning

I Have the same issue, it sounds like the arms try and start up 4 times then each time power back down, the top arm is not spinning at all. On the fifth time a I hear grinding and then the mid and lower arms spin, soap streaks down the door, nothing stuck in any of the arms, 16 months old, 750.00 out of pocket for junk!

Top rack washer arm isn't spinning and therefore not cleaning dishes in top rack, bottom works fine

You can replace the whole top assembly. And before you run the cycles again, try putting a cup of Tang (dry) orange juice through the cycle without any dishes or get some Dishwasher Magic and you'll have a sparkling new dishwasher once again! hope this helps you!

Dishwaser working, but not cleaning dishes properly

unfortunately, there is no way to run it and see what it is doing. the only way to check if the spray arms are working properly is to put your ear up to the dishwasher while it is running. you should hear the water spraying along the door panel on both the top and bottom ( Note: some dishwashers run the spray arms simultaneously and sometimes they run at seperate times ).
another thing to check is your water temperature. the water must be 120 degrees in the dishwasher in order to clean the dishes properly. also, if your kitchen sink takes a while to get hot water, you will need to run the sink first prior to starting the dishwasher. I have to apply this method at my house because it takes a while for the water to get hot at my sink. if I run it without starting the sink, the water in the dishwasher is 80 degrees or so and will not clean properly. Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher, dishes are dirty, control panel only works some of the time, bad smell coming from dishes and dishwasher.

Our control panel is fine. For now. (The machine is only 3 months old). This is our problem--and I haven't yet seen this complaint at all over the internt: The lower wash arm is getting stuck on the bottom rack and stopping immediately. This seems to be a design flaw. The bottom rack is just built too low. A service man was out once. He tightened the wash arm. Didn't work. The service department at the dealership is now ignoring our subsequent calls!! So I wonder if the "not cleaning" problem you have is because of this.
