SOURCE: Zanussi ZWD1680W Front Load All-in-One... Problem:

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.

SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel top load intermittent running

Check your water pump... When they get wet or leak, they will shut down the machine control. If you wait too long you will blow out your machine control completely. You most likely need a new water pump and it is easy to replace with no tools needed. Your part number is a 420325P and you can get one from Fisher Paykel Parts direct:

SOURCE: AEG Lavamat 16820: Strange noise coming the machine

Ok, the motor windings are bad. the A.C. hum is a warning that the motor will sound when the windings are separated or shorting. its unable to hold a balanced current.the motor will actually stop soon if it isn't repaired.

Fault 49

machine needs a new motor controller. can't remember what the code is exactly, but I have seen it a few times, generally replacing motor cont works. I htink it can be a motor problem too, test winding with a multimeter to make sure they are equivalent.

Drain pump problems

Without the model its hard to really give a detailed answer but I can tell you this. Fisher Paykel dishwashers if I recall dont actually have drain pumps. They have what they call motor rotors. I personally own a set of dish drawers from the them and to remove the motor rotors what you want to do is kill the power to the machine first, then remove the rack from the drawer. there in the center or near there you'll see the motor rotor held in with a locking ring. Just twist the ring to take it off then pull the motor rotor right out. This will take no more than five minutes max once you have the part. You'll need the model number and I believe the website is call

This Fisher & Paykel GWL15 washer began making strange noises this week. When the water is pumping out, a loud, moaning or grinding sound is made. It also makes the sound after a few minutes at the...

Same thing happened to mine. There's a really simple solution: Lay the unit on it's back or lean it far enough back to have access. The pump is near the front and has a black fan blade on the bottom. Remove the electrical plug on the motor; it just pulls right off. Now look for a white plastic retaining lever near the top of the pump. Hold it out and turn the pump about 1/8 turn counter-clockwise, then it almost falls out. I found a safety pin inside that was causing my noise. Went back together just as easily. Problem solved!!!

On tempstar heatpump the outside fan makes a loud noise

Well, that could mean a lage list of problems from which to choose, 1st I suggest you isolate the fan to be sure it is the problem; Hopefully you have an outside disconnect box for the unit, stop the power at this discoonnect and wait 3 minutes. Place a large stick or metal bar throught the topgrill to hold back the fan blade from turning. Now connect the energy at the disco box ( you may want a second person so you can hold the stick in place). You will not harm anything by holding the fan from turning for a short time. If you hear the noise that you suspect after the unit runs for 20 seconds, then the problem is most likely the compressor. If you do not hear the noise, then remove the stick and aloow the fan to turn. You at this point should be able to see if the blade is clangging, or the blade is imbalanced and vibrating, or the noise is coming from the fan motor itself. The most likely problem is the bearings of the fan motor are worn and the motor is screaching or laboring; in which case you need a new motor unless you are savy enough to replace the bearings in the motor (however, this is not always cost effective unless you really know your stuff). Check the blade for fatigue fractures in the metal and check the mounting points that hold the motor in place-----sometimes these mounting points also fatigue after years of vibrating and need to be reinforced with oversize washers or the entire top grill piece needs to be replaced if the cracks are too severe. My multitester doesn't react

there are several reasons why the tester doesn't react..try to check these:
1. Check the safety fuse inside it.
2..The test lead set (the red & black wire w/ pin )
might have cut inside it,particularly in the part of
ends,near the pins/plugs.
3. The bateries might be o voltage and need to be
replaced.,or if the batery is good, just clean the
contact or teminal of the bateries.( a common
multi tester have 3 bateries, composed of 2 size
"AA" & 1- 9volts size.) these bateries are all
assigned to the "continuity"section of the tester.
(these are: X1;X10;X100 ; X 1K & X10K. )
so,if the tester is not functioning only in that
section, the first thing you have to check are the
bateries.Now.if you replaced the bateries with
new one but it is atill not working, then we go
back to my tip number 1 above.,that is to check
the test lead.
3. if you already finish checking the above method
and it still not working, then there is a problem in
the resistors of the system.

But, is your tester is digital? if it has no power: just simply check the fuse & batery..But if it has a power but not working when you use to test, you jst check the test lead or the selector switch becos the contact inside might be loosen.

My Maytag dryer buzzes when I push the start button. If you hold it in, the dryer will start but makes a noise, almost like a bad belt. After a few minutes the dryer will shut itself off and will not...

Remove the belt from the motor and push 'start'. If the motor makes loud noises, squeals, or the shaft has side play in several directions, then it probably is the motor. Replace it. If the the motor runs quietly, then check the drum by hand to see if it is making excessive noise while turning. There should be a little resistance to turning, but not real difficulty. Hope this helps.
