I'm not sure anyone can help but here goes. I have a psycho EX-girlfriend who continues to get into every cell phone I buy! The latest is a cheap no frills Samsung SGH-A157 on AT&T no contract GOPHONE. She is able to gain access to texts, call records, appears to add 3 way calling over VOIP with her as the third party on my phone calls! The final insult is she has somehow made it so I have no signal! I have an identical phone with full signal strength while right beside it is the one she has hacked with no signal and a symbol of a handset with a line through it! I have tried to reset and restore with no luck. Does anyone know how I can prove who is doing this so I can bring to the police?

Has she admitted to doing such to you? If so, confront her about it, and make sure to record her admitting such. I can't guarantee that the police will be able to do anything about it, but bare minimum you will be able to show that there is evidence that she's stalking you which could leave to eventually being able to get a restraining order against her. Also, I would contact AT&T about the problem with the phone. Good luck and I wish you all the well.

SOURCE: 6070 Headset symbol issue i have a Nokia 6070 and

If you still have the headset, connect it to the headset connector and remove it, do this several times and check everytime you disconnect it. If this doesn't help, please check if there's any short on the headset interface. Clean it with a soft cloth or cotton dipped in alcohol or spirit.
Your last option is to open it apart and check the headset interface internally. I would recommend you to visit a mobile repairing shop and get it repaired.
Good luck..
Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a samsung galaxy nexus/google cell phone that my girlfriend (ex) cahnged the lock code on & now i cant access my bloody phone? can anyone help so i dont lose all my info/pics/files etc by rebooting?

try entering the wrong pattern for 5 times you will get a pop up saying you have entered wrong pattern for 5 times you have to wait for 30 seconds to try again, after clicking ok on pop up you will see a "Forgot Pattern" link in the bottom right side click on it and it will asks you enter your email and password(you should enter the username you used while setting up the phone). If username passwords are correct, unlock pattern will be removed and you can access your phone now

Your earpiece is out. You will need to get a replacement phone. If you have insurance on it, it should be a free/cheap replacement.

Batteries are going down one phone at a time. Is it cost effective to buy new batteries?

Most cell phones have relatively cheap batteries these days. For example, my current phone's battery only costs about $30; my previous phone's battery only costed $15. If you're experiencing worse than usual battery life on your phone, it's completely worth it to buy a new battery. I suggest looking on an online store (such as Amazon.com) for batteries rather than buying directly from the manufacturer due to the lower cost.
Smartphones generally have slightly more expensive batteries, but it's still worth it, in my opinion, because you'll always be sure you're getting the full life out of your phone.

How to block unwanted number

  1. The first thing you can do is to make sure your cell phone number is unlisted. This is a simple step but it's the first step in keeping unwanted calls from your cell phone.
  2. You can unmask the Caller ID on blocked incoming calls, obtain the phone number, and in some cases the name and address, of the "anonymous caller" by using a service called "TrapCall." You can also listen to your voicemail over the internet.
TrapCall allows you to unmask numbers, record your calls, voicemail transcriptions, block unwanted callers, and gives you caller id for your cell phone. See resource link.
  3. Register your number with the "National and State Do Not Call Lists." The National Do Not Call list is run by the Federal Trade Commission and you can sign up online at the resource link below.
  4. Even after signing up for the "Don't Call List" and getting that unpublished number there are still those times when the telemarketer finds a way to get through. You can also get unwanted calls from ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends'. These people have your number from your previous relationship. You don't want to change your number, but a few over-zealous ex-mates may not go down without a fight and will continue to call after you have told them to stop! In this case, you'll need a call blocking device. These devices allow you to control who calls you, and gives you the ability to permanently block their numbers. See the resource link at bottom of article for a list of these devices.
  5. Set up an account with "Reverse Phone Detective" service in order to find out the Unknown numbers that appear on your caller display. This will allow you to see who and where the number is coming from. Check the resource link "Reverse Phone Detective" below.

Don't rely on your cell phone provider to block unwanted calls for you. For some inexplicable reason, most carriers do not provide you with the ability to block unwanted callers.

My best bet is to go with the google voice number(you can do a lot of things besides blocking unwanted numbers and its free) ..

here is the link to find more information about it
