I have no sound in my pc (no audio output device is installed)...but after restarting my laptop the sound will works but then is gone plz help

Hello,

The best thing I would advise you to do, is this:

Uninstall the audio driver completely first from your system,

Then Connect your system to the internet,

Right-Click on my computer icon,

Go to the device manager on your system,

Right click on the icon specifying the audio driver(which was not
installed),

Select Update driver software,

On the options that comes up, select update software online

automatically, then wait for it to do the remaining.

After a while, it will show 'Installing Device driver update'.

Just wait for it to finish.

Then click on finish/ok/close.

I can guarantee you that your audio will work perfectly after that.

Hope this helps you out.

Kindly let me know how it goes.

Thanks for using fixya.

From time to time i get a cross over my volume control. i have solved this problem before by going back to a restore point but it doesn't seem to work this time. Please help. LJ

try to double-click the volume icon and make sure MUTE ALL is unchecked. If same thing, go to Device Manager, uninstall the audio driver and reinstall it. You may also need to go uninstall and reinstall the Volume icon component through the Windows Components in Add/Removes or Programs and Features area of Windows.

The volume icon appears randomly on my screen while I am using the computer and will not turn off. To get it 'off' I have to restart my computer. Very irritating.

Well, just noticed, it is Dell Studio. I would recommend below mentioned things, I would suggest reinstalling of the driver. Before you do that, please make sure to know, what sound card is installed on your PC and download the relevant driver from Dell Support site. Go to dell.com/support and click on "Drivers and Downloads". Enter the "Service Tag" of your laptop and Click "Go". Download the audio drivers from "Audio Category"
Step 1: Right click on My Computer Icon and Go to properties
Step 2: If on Vista, from left hand side "Click on Device Manager"
Step 3: Go to "Sound, Video" and select the relevant list item and uninstall the driver by pressing a right click...
Step 4: Once the uninstall is complete, reinstall the downloaded driver from Dell.
this should eliminate the Drivers' issue and if it still doesn't work, it may be the hardware issue..Just let me know, how this goes..Please feel free to message me, if you need any assistance...
thanks,

U have go to control panel>add remove program>and locate Realtek HD audio driver>uninstall it >and restart...

and then try reinstall the driver again.

My System Sound is not coming All driver is their and task bar icon show so after all so not coming driver Wya pleaser help me ok

This happen usually when there is a resource conflict. Check there is no resource conflict. If there is no conflict, then check if Audio is Disable from BIOS. It is also possible that Audio Cable is defective. Also uninstall the drivers, reboot PC and install the drivers again. (ehteshamhusain@yahoo.com)

Realtec audio not working

If you audio driver stops responding, you can try uninstalling the audio driver then restart the computer. First, right-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Properties". Next, go to the "Hardware" tab and choose "Device Manager". Now you need to look for your audio driver and find the one that lets you uninstall the driver. Do not worry about installing the new driver because the system will find the audio when you reboot your computer which is what you will do after you uninstall the driver. So, reboot and wait. If you audio works you can move on, if it does not work you should go to the Realtec website and look for the most current driver and install that one. This is a start.
