Question about Altec Lansing AVS 500 Computer Speakers

Wiring for Altec Lansing avs500

I am looking for the wiring configuration for the din plug. I have this set of speakers as well as a set of Klipch. The din plug fell apart on my Klipsch set. From what we hear this is common and difficult to find a plug that matches. We happen to have a set of Altec's and the plug fits perfect. All the colors of the wire were the same except one on each. We were hopeing it was stardardized wireing. We found a configuration diagram for the Klipsch set but can't find one for the Altec set. If you could help us anyway you could match up the correct wires to get my Klipsch working again I would appreciate it. Thanks, Angela

The green plug goes into the "Audio Out" of your soundcard. That plug recepltical is usually also green. Unless your soundcard supports 5.1 or higher the black cable wont be used, otherwise plug it into the black receptical, which should be located right next to the green one

If you are using windows media player check if your player is configured to have an echo. If it is configured remove it. If it is not configured to have an echo and if you are using any soundcard have that sound card check by an expert or by your vendor and let them check it out if it is still under warranty.
