Question about Garmin GPSMAP 76 GPS Receiver
My 76 csx has lost my downloaded maps a couple of times while I am out on trail.NOT good.
Now I cant even upload new maps to gps from computer.
It crashes (tells me that it was unable to finish) even when I minimize the amount of information I am trying to send.
I think I should try a master reset. How do I do that on a 76csx and is there a reason I should be concerned about doing a master reset
With unit off, press and hold ENTER and PAGE while powering on to perform a master reset.
Doing a master reset will erase and data in the device and restore it to factory defaults. So if you have any waypoints/tracks/routes you may want to back them up first.
You may want to update your mapsoure software first and see if that helps the issue. If not reinstall the software.
oh and double check your micro SD card to make sure its not damaged and is inserted all the way in.
