suddenly my i phones keypad stopped working

  • Anonymous Mar 23, 2009

None of the numbers on the keypad are responding when I try to dial out. I can still dial by using my contacts and call back lists, but I can't key in a number.

iPhone 1G.  The numeric keypad in phone application does not respond when tapped, so cannot dial new numbers (must first create contact).  All other keys/functions appear to work, e.g. I can type in the phone number of a new contact.

The keypad function not respond when i push it, so i can't unlock the keypad, what can i do with my nokia 6120c?

Hi, what causes the keypad not to function is that, the keypad might be dirty or the keypad IC that controls the function of the keypad might be damaged.

You can unscrew the phone and clean up the keypad area and see if it will function. If it doesn't function, that means the keypad IC inside the phone is damaged and will need replacement.

Have a nice day.

How to lock or unlock a Samsung Intensity

Many people like the Samsung Intensity because of its slide-out QWERTY keyboard. However, one drawback to the phone for some users is that, unlike a flip phone, the numeric keypad is always exposed. When the Intensity is kept in a pocket or purse, this can result in accidental phone calls, multiple all-black pictures, and sudden activation of the voice command feature.

Luckily, you can lock the phone's keypad to keep it from engaging any functions when you're not using it. Locking the keypad is easy. Just hold down the 0 (zero) button for about two seconds, and a message will pop up telling you that the keypad has been locked. While it's locked, you won't be able to use the numeric keypad.

The standard way to unlock the phone is to press the upper right options button (the one that you would typically press to bring up your Contacts list) and then press the center OK button. (You will see prompts for both of these buttons when the phone is locked.)

However, there is also a quicker way to unlock the phone -- just slide the keyboard open. Sliding the keyboard open will unlock your numeric keypad immediately, and even when you close the keyboard the phone will remain unlocked. If you want to lock it again, you'll have to hold down the zero button to re-lock it.

You can also enable Auto Key Lock mode, in case you think you'll forget to lock your phone. With Auto Key Lock mode turned on, your phone will automatically lock itself when it's not in use and the backlight goes off. You can turn Auto Key Lock mode on or off from the Phone Settings menu.

Keys are not responding

Hello, what makes a phones keypad not to respond is when the IC that controls the keypad inside the phone is bad, it makes the keypad to freeze.

Also if there is dirt in the keypad, it can also cause the phone keypad to freeze.

To rectify problem you will assistance from a phone technician.

My iphone suddenly has large icons 7 i cannot

Maybe you accidentally enlarged it.
Here's what you need to do to shrink them down or put them to normal size. Double-tap using 3 fingers on the screen of your device. That's the simple way of fixing it.

Iphone Problem

you seem to have the same issue i had once before - you will need to upgrade your iphone to 1.1.3 BUT if you are not an att user you will not be able to unlock / use the turbosim to use the phone.
The baseband will be upgraded.

Hopefully you are AT&T client, then all will be good
