I installed an update to my realtek audio driver and now theres is no sound- at all!!! Please help. Before the update I had sound and no I don´t. I have windows xp

Can you try to use a different driver to get your sound back, instead of the realtek? This would involve going to Start - Control panel - Sounds and Audio Devices, and for "audio" selecting a different playback device. Perhaps the realtek driver installation made a choice for you that needs to be changed back to match your hardware.
My second recommendation would be to uninstall the Realtek audio driver... if the first thing doesn't solve your problem.
