Well, if you touch screen is giving you trouble is because something happened to your phone, meaning it felt or hit it onto something. They don't go wrong because they feel like it. Something must to happen in order for it to react. If you want me to give a solution please let me know what happened to the phone.
You will have to make sure all the drivers are installed and if it is not working because an updated added incompatible drivers you will need to do a system restore back to the date the touch screen was working and do not update those drivers for the touch screen.
first before it even gets into first preview start hitting the fast forward or next button untill you get to root menu or you can try hitting the green triangle button and try menu button but i had same problem and skipping forward worked for me
first try to calibrate the touch screen.Take all games out turn on then go to the very small ds on the bottom touch screen. If you can't touch it move it with the cross down then hit a. Then select the option all the way to the right it looks like cross hairs that's the calibration screen fallow instructions. If that doesn't fix it it could be a broken screen or a loose ribbon.
have just installed a new screen, all good, reset using the sleep and menu button at same time for 10secs, but the screen doesnt react to touch... no reaction at all?? just the screen safer and security code request, cant get any further?? any suggestions, thanks for your time pete
Yes, that would be my first instinct.. that is if I was in a shop with spare parts lying around.. but I'm guessing your not so...
1st off we are only talking about the touch screen's respones time right? You said the enter button is slow to react as well.. so that makes me think keypad too. If both are reacting well, then try resetting the user data. yes, all of your POI's would be erased if you did this.. so if you can't afford that to happen , then don't do this.
1. At user menu (upon initial boot)
2. press + key and repeat (on top) button
3. select reset user data, then select the verify yes button.
4. unit will reset, post back on here and let me know if this worked.
