There should be a very small screw to tighten it up. Be careful, these things seem to be MADE to break!

Just wondering if my rotor button is meant to turn freely be hand in my w t4 transporter 2.5L

it depends on if it's just the rotor spinning or the shaft on which it sits. if the shaft itself is spinning, it's relatively serious. it is probable that the whole distributor has to be replaced, with care being taken to ascertain the state of the mechanism that drives it.

Aquasmart bowl not turning freely, problem with stator assembly?

Hi your shaft may be bent,Or metal particles on the rotor magnets.
Get someone to turn the bowl & you look at the shaft without the rotor on & see if it's bent.

Volitation 9053 lower blades not spinning

two screws that hold the whole assembley to the shaft wear down and have to be replaced or the won' t reach the shaft which cases the rotors to free spin. I just used two screws that were the same size but a tad longer. Seems to work so far.

I recently got a DH-1 AeroQuest Mini Helicopter. It was working fine until I crashed it against the wall. So now the top Propeller spins but the bottom propeller does not and the helicopter just spins...

I had the same problem. Bottom blade would not spin. There are 2 shafts that spin 2 gears. The outer shaft that spins the bottom blade has 2 set screws and my set screws got sheered off. I replaced both set screws and everything works now....

My Air Hogs Hawk Eye helicopter's lower rotor blade stopped working? Any solutions?

Okey, this is a trickie one, now inside the lower rotor shaft the white plastic gear goes up in to the larger shaft and has like a simi circle on top, ( i know im not discribing it well but trust me the little "tooth" most likely has broke and it randomly binds up in side the shaft, had the same thing happen to mine, i fixed it by dissembling the rotor assembly and removing the broke "tooth" and putting a drop of crazy glue on the ******!!!!!! worked for me

Heli wont go up very much and turns to the left

If thi is a Reflex with two opposing rotors and two directional fans then use the "trim wheel" on the top of the rotor assembly to counteract the spin. If you crashed it often enough the shaft for the top rotor may have come loose. I'm not sure how this actually works with the trim wheel but mine crashed a bit and the shaft came out. I re-inserted it and it worked OK for a while but eventually the gear inside stoppped grabbing the shaft and the top rotor would not spin. I took it apart and tried gluing the gear to the shaft and that got the rotor to spin at the same rate as the lower rotor but I could not trim to get rid of the spin on the body. I would advise not buying the Reflex becuse it does not hold up very well. I went out and purchased a Sharpshooter which is easier to fly and seems more durable

2000 nissan frontier going down the highway and just shuts off when i took the distributor cap off the rotor button was not turning as i turned the truck over is that a bad distributor

I'm not familiar with your car, but the distributor rotor should turn whenever the engine is cranked, if not check to make sure the rotor screw isn't missing (if it has one, some are held in with a spline instead), try spinning the rotor by hand if the rotor turns but not the shaft the rotor is broken, if the shaft spins the drive gear pin is sheared or the cam gear is shot.

1987 El Camino pulled the distributer out to fix now it won't go back into the crank shaft tried turning oil pump shaft but still won't go been screwing with it for hours help sanity is slipping away!!

Ok Get a grip! get a flrash light and peer down the distriputor shaft hole look at the oil pump shaft, if it has a -- type shaft do the following. Remove the distributor cap mark #1 on the distributor housing turn to the number one postion and look at the shaft on the distributor by raiseing it above your head notice what positon it is at 1 oclcok 6 oclock or what ever the postion, now go back tothe block and turn the shaft in that direction so it lines up then turn the oil pump shaft 1 tooth or 1/8 inch oppisete direction gears spins. then place the distributor down in the hole not moving it from it's postion then lower it into the engine and turn it 1/8 inch counter clockwise as it drops allow the rotor to turn freely if it does not drop down turn the distributer one more tooth by raising it up so you can feel the teeth move one tooh then drop again you may have to wigle the distributor rotor shaft to get it to fall in. hope this helps. and have a six pack and walk away for an hour and try again.

Model # yg2047b. I had this fan installed in June, worked fine, now it hums..what could the problem be?

If the fan does not spin and the motor hums, you have a stuck rotor. It may be due to bushing/bearing alignment problem or a lubrication problem.
Try to spin the fan blade manually. It should turn freely, otherwise the rotor is stuck. Remove fan blade and put few drops of lubricating oil on the bushings/bearings and manually turn the shaft to free it up. Alignment of shaft and bushings/bearings must be after lubrication is done and the rotor is still stuck. Move the shaft up and down and side to side until it smoothly spin when manually turned.
