SOURCE: Poulan 295 chainsaw won't start when warm

Check the spark plug first (when the engine has warmed and died). If you have a good spark, check the fuel pump from the carb(it shuld not to be tighten). If everything is ok check the seals(they are sealing the engine).Good luck!

SOURCE: Poulan 335 chainsaw starts easily and then stalls

1. You will first want to check your fuel lines for cracks/breaks.
2. If they are o.k. then you will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb. cleaner. Make sure that the small screen in carb. is free of debris. Use a Den Tek Brush, (, to clean the small portals in carb. Check the gasket and diaphragm for breaksor wear. (NOTE): If your carburetor guts, (Carb. Kit), are more than 3 or 4 years old, you might want to replace them while you have it apart.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Try fresh fuel making sure oil and gas mixture is correct. Carb might need cleaning and adjustment.

SOURCE: stalls under load

Try opening up the high speed jet, see if it does any better. Turn it just a quarter turn at a time, if opening it up doesn't do anything, try closing it. If that doesn't do it, try closing it down all the way, then open it up 1 1/2 turns, this will put you into run mode, you can adjust it from there. You have 2 screws on the side of the carb, low, high, they are marked, don't be afraid to turn, that is what they are for. Check it out.

If it pulls easier than it used to when you try to start, you have low compression. Once the saw warms up, it doesn't have enough compression to run. If that's the case, there is no easy fix, it needs piston rings.

Changed filter and fuel lines, poulan 31cc 250E. starts fine but dies when accelarated

My chainsaw was doing this. The carburetors on these small engines have a fuel inlet screen that clogs with tiny bits of debris.Remove the carb, and take the portion off that has the fuel line attached to it(if you're careful, you can reassemble it without needing a new gasket). The screen is about 5/16" in diameter.Spray some carb cleaner in there to clean the screen out.(this is mt best guess, because it sounds like a fuel starvation problem)

Chain saw starts fine, idles fine, and powers up fine when not cutting a long how when starting to cut a log it bogs down and dies. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or what’s wrong with the chain...

Two things that can cause this problem. 1. Your carburetor is not set properly and is not letting the engine get enough fuel under a load. 2. Your chain is binding when you put the chain bar down on the log. Make sure your front chain sproket is turning free and is not too sloppy.

Husky 455 dies out at full throttle or under load

Your carb may be the issue but your ignition coil could be the culprit. Once they start going bad, they can act up intermittently or give various symptoms from day to day. The fact that your saw dies at full load or under load, probably means that when your saw gets hot or requires more spark, your coil is not able to provide it. Your carb is easy enough to clean out, you can take it all apart and clean all screens, etc....

I just replaced my coil due to the exact same symptoms and now my saw runs great. $60 off ebay and you can put it on in 15 minutes yourself. Check your carb first though
