Question about Belkin Play N600 Wireless Dual Band Router (722868807453)
I called and they offered to sell me a new router at a discounted price. I was quoted 3 different prices by 3 different people. The prices ranged from $30 to $53. Belkin is a good router but their warranty practice is shamefull. They wanted a receipt and I sent the original receipt from 1/30/2011. The 2 year warranty is up on 1/30/2013. They are a big company and their customer service policy is not working in my case.
OK, This will require a bit of tenacity on your part, No isn't a option, and NO I don't want a discount. I want a repair/replace for free, period. A large company will have "Phone" people that give you the standard answer, hoping you will go away, Go to the next level," I want to speak to your supervisor", most people just give up, the companies depend on that. Start a e-mail campaign, this is where the tenacity comes in, If you are serious, Send emails to Marketing, support, etc. Become a thorn-in-their-side. I have found that 90% of the time they will relent. Keep all correspondence. If your serious, or if not, "what the heck, it's only $50 bucks", they depend on that. It's up to you. I have used this method on Motorola, after the warranty ran out. Nikon, and other large companies, but I have lots of time on my hands and I am old enough to remember REAL customer service. And I remind them of that fact. Good Luck.

SOURCE: Keep losing internet signal
Have you tried updating the firmware of your router? Updating the firmware of the router will fix that issue. Make sure after updating the router's firmware, hard reset the router. To hard reset it, Press the reset button on the back of the router for about 20 seconds, then unplug the power for 30 seconds then plug it back. Reconfigure the wireless settings of the router. Make sure to change the wireless channel of the router to channel 11 or 1 and not 6 to avoid interference.

your user name and password have been entered incorrectly, they are case sensitive and must be exact. Make sure your ADSL settings are set at 0/38 (you'll see where)

SOURCE: My toshiba laptop does not
Definitely Belkin is compatible with all the operating systems. the issue is the security type that came along with the router is WPA/WPA2... it is not compatible with many computers. Changing the security type to WEP64 bit will work perfectly...
