Hi, I will avoid copy the files from the cd and then pass them to the mp4.

Instead I would try to look for the songs on youtube and then, using specific websites, download only the audio from the aforementioned videos. In this way u can create MP3 that theoretically are license issues free.

forgot to mention that, through right tools, u can also increase the volume or the bitrate and the quality of the files, so u can match or maybe even exceed the quality of the tracks from the cd

SOURCE: "drm licence not available"

It looks like you may have WMP 11 installed. You must try rolling back to WMP 10 to try and solve your problem. Follow, very carefully, the instructions here.

I have ripped some of my cds on to Windows media player then synced a newly bought philips gogear by USBconnection. They have been transferred onto the mp3 player but won't play. DRM license not available...

DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. In the copying process you have triggered or lost the permission licence to play the track. Presumably the CD was copy protected and wouldn't transfer the DRM licence to your new file.
There are ways to copy the files and if you are resourceful then you will find a way. But I can't tell you due to site rules.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Philips mp3 go gear, i can put songs on but then when i come to play it says media engine error.drm licence not available.

When the message 'Error' or 'License Issue' shows, it is referring to the DRM (Digital Rights Management) licences which are commonly found when downloading files. This is a method the music companies use to protect their music

What does "no Licence" mean and What should I do to fix It?

No licence means that one (or more) of your tracks has DRM on it and is copy protected. A licence can only be be obtained from the place you bought the file from. Normally these files are WMA or early material from I-Tunes. MP3 files are generally DRM free.
You should contact the place you bought the DRM files from. If you don't know which files are protected, right click on them and select properties. It should say yes or no under "protected".
If you can't get them changed, use an audio recording software such as Dan Das Audio Editor and re-record any DRM file by playing it back, then saving it as an MP3.

Mp3 player keeps showing media engine error drm licence not available when trying to transfer cd to mp3 player

If it does it on all CD's then it could be somekind of error on the MP3 device itself. However if only on selected discs, than it's the disc which incorporates anti copying tecnology, in which case you'll have to find another way of carrying out (which is illegal by the way) the transfer, unless you pay for a licence!
D.R.M. stands for Digital Rights Management, by the way.

My philips gogear mp3 player won't play my music because it says that the DRM licence is not available, how do I solve this problem?

Hello Friend,
Your player does not support copyright protected music.
To avoid this error, you can:
  • Download music which is not subject to copyright protection.
  • Deselect the option Copy protect music and click OK before you start ripping music from CD.

How do I fix a drm problem in windows media player 11

DRM, which specifies whether tracks copied from CDs in Windows Media Audio (WMA) format are protected files. A license, which helps protect the copyrights of artists by preventing unauthorized distribution, is required to play protected files.
If you're trying to play your copy-protected files on a new computer, you can migrate your protected music from one computer to another by doing the following:
Windows Media Player 7.1 or later
1.
Try to play the copy-protected file again.
2.
In the message that appears, click the More Information button.
3.
Follow the instructions for migrating your licenses.
Windows Media Player 7
1.
Download the Personal License Update Wizard for Windows Media Player (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0048.mspx)and follow the instructions.
2.
Try to play the copy-protected file again.
3.
In the message that appears, click the More Information button.
4.
Follow the instructions for migrating your licenses.
A license can be migrated ten times. After this limit is reached, you will receive an error when you try to migrate the license again (for more information, see the Windows Media Player FAQ). When this occurs, you will need to rip the file from the CD again.
note.gif Note If you still have the CD in your possession, you can rip the tracks from the CD again, but with copy protection turned off.
