Sir i have 3 more companys in various plases 3 offices are compuerised i have take a original tally .can use extenal hard disk i can activate the same data in my offices.tally can suppoertd this operations
Uniface uses a device translation table to instruct the printer. Most developers set this to use the default printer of the Windows or UNIX lp service. However, it may be that a specific printer was nominated for the task. If the printer has been changed since the program was written, the nominated device translation table may no longer be valid. Depending on what has been installed, you can try holding down Ctrl and pressing "P". This will give you access to the Printer Job Model screen, from which you can edit the table being used by the printer. However, I would suggest to get some help from the supplier or directly from Compuware.

If there are any user defined TDLs defined in the Tally.ini file set Default Companies to NO start Tally and check.
If the problem persists
Increase the screen resolutions to 16 bit high color small fonts, Load Tally and check.
If the problem persists
Delete the printer drivers available in the Printer panel. Execute Tally. If this resolves the issue you can then re-install the printer drivers.
If the difficulty persists
After checking above-mentioned in case the difficulty persists please check the following.
Check for viruses in the system
Delete the Tally.sav file and check
Re-install Tally in a different folder and check
Disable the real time protection of the Anti Virus Software

In case the problem is rectified when Default Companies is set to No in Tally.ini it indicates that the default company is corrupted. In such cases please follow the steps mentioned below
Take a backup of your company data
Execute Tally 9
From the Company Info Menu press Ctrl Alt R.
The Rewrite company screen is displayed. From the List of Companies screen select the Company in which you are facing the difficulty. The screen Rewrite Yes or No is displayed. Press Enter to re-write.
The error message indicates a data corruption. Please restore an earlier data backup which did not have this problem and proceed.
If you do not have the Backup then create a copy of the existing data and rewrite it by clicking Ctrl+Alt+R before selecting the Company.
Before rewriting ensure that the Company you wish to rewrite is not in use on any of the nodes and the command has to be applied before selecting the Company.
The data preferably should be available in the local hard disk. Ensure that you create a back up of the data in the the hard disk or a medium like CD.
Open Tally, press Alt+F3-Company Info, you will see Back Up link. Select & enter required fields (drives) where you would like to take back up
Go to company information- click backup - you can take backup on floppy or on hard disk with proper path. i.e make the backup (or any name) folder on suitable drive. But do not choose C: drive as you may forget when you are formatting the drive. Then you can copy the same folder on CD to open any where.
There is no option to recover the password. But there is simple steps to recovor the data... try it

provides a backup and restore utility which collects all files of tally
company into one file named tbk500.001. This way of tally backup is
easier to restore as this one file can be kept save and easily can be
restored instead of all files in that folder. If any of the file gets
missing or gets corrupted tally data wouldn't work. In first case
when data gets corrupted while working on tally and we are unable to
open the company then data can simply rewritten. Come to Company
selection menu. Press "Ctrl + Alt + R". Now select the company for re writing. 90% chance is that you problem would be get solved.
