How do I get the F4 key to work?

Make sure you're pressing the function key and not the letters F and then 4. You may need to press the fn key on your keyboard (if it exists). You could also launch the app called the On-Screen keyboard (included with Windows).

Unlock number lock

On a laptop, the "Num Lock" key has a function slightly different than the one it performs on full-d desktop keyboards. Activating "Num Lock" on a laptop usually transforms a set of central keys, including many letters, into number keys, allowing typists used to entering numbers on a keypad to type efficiently. While on desktop keyboards "Num Lock" usually has a dedicated key, on laptops it often shares a key with another function on MacBooks, for example, it shares the "F6" key and you must hold down the "Shift" or "Fn" key to activate it.

Look for the "Num Lock" key on your laptop's keyboard. This is usually near the top of the keyboard. If the key says nothing on it except "Num Lock" if that's the only function the key performs you can just press it to activate the lock; a light will probably go on somewhere to indicate that "Num Lock" is on. If the key has multiple functions, you'll have to hold down a different key while pressing it. Hold down "Shift" and press "Num Lock" if the writing saying "Num Lock" appears above some other writing on the key, the way various symbols appear above the numbers on the keyboard's number row. Hold down "Fn" and press "Num Lock" if the writing saying "Num Lock" appears in a different color often light blue that's shared by the "Fn" key.

I have connected my hp Pavilion dv6 to my panasonic p46v20z but no picture shows on tv. Is my pc not compatible?

Usually there is a key on the keyboard that must be pressed with the function key to alternate the video outputs. Usually it is Function F7 or F8. This key set must be pressed more than once to get the preferred setting. Each time it is pressed you will get one of the following. Out VGA, Out VGA and Monitor Screen, and only Monitor Screen.
Monitor Screen being the laptops display screen. Out VGA being the rear port on the laptop.
This is usually the reason for the issue you are having.

Hello, i am having issues with my touchpad not working at times, i can be online browsing and it will not click certain links and also when i am on the internet the page doesnt fully load, it says done but...

Hi tadams649...

To fix an unresponsive touchpad on your laptop, reactivate it by using the Function key on the keyboard and the Fn key.

This process is different for each computer manufacturer.
If unsure which Function key enables and disables the touchpad, try each one at a time and then
attempt to use the touchpad after each one.

A...Locate the "Fn" key of the laptop keyboard.
The "Fn" key has different colored text or the key is a different color.
B...Locate the function (F1 through F12) key at the top of the keyboard that disables or enables the touchpad on the laptop.
The key typically has an icon that resembles a touchpad with a finger touching it or a touchpad with a diagonal line through it.
C...Press both the "Fn" and touchpad Function key at the same time to reactive the touchpad on your laptop.
Move your finger along the touchpad to verify that it works. Press the combination at any time to disable the touchpad again.
Note: Mac computers use "F2" to enable and disable the touchpad.
D. Sony Vaio Users: Start>Settings>Control Panel>Double click the Mouse icon.
Look at the top left hand side of the page, at the top and make sure that the "Tapping" box is unchecked, if it is checked then, you will uncheck it.

I want to doing more brightness.

Hello sounds like your trying to figure out how to brighten your screen. If so, try looking on your keyboard and see if You have specialty function keys. These are usually right on top of your number keys. On mine Its function keys f7 and f8. Just like typing a capital letter except you have to hold the Fn key, usually found in lower left had side of keyboard. Hold down and press function key that shows a sun Up F8 on mine and see if that brightens screen. You might have to press a few time to brighten.
Hope this Helps

Internet connection

Some laptops have a small switch on the body of the laptop that turns on/off the wireless connection, check for that first. Otherwise, it can be disabled with the function keys on the keyboard. Press and hold the 'fn' key and then press the key in the top row that has the little antenna icon, that should re-enable it.
