Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have added the printer to my BT network, and it worked ok until I turned off the power to the system as a whole. I later switched the circuit on again, which found the printer on the circuit, But when I tried to print some text, A message "Printer NOT ready" appears. How can I get round this as the only way I have found, so far, is to reinstall the printer from scratch each time I want to use it. This is obviously a time wasting procedure. Can anyone suggest a remedy please? Thanks Kind regards Jim

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

First of all, check to make sure your printer's USB cable is securely connected in your Macbook's USB port.
Next, make sure your Epson SX515W has the latest drivers installed for your current version of Mac OS X
Mac OS X Drivers for Epson SX515W
If you already have the updated printer drivers for your Epson SX515W already installed,
go into System Preferences> Print & Fax and see if the printer is displayed in the Printer window. If it is, click the "-" Minus button and remove your current printer.
* Click the "+" Plus button and re-add that printer.
Once you do, make to set it as the default printer.
- Now attempt to print a test page from any document you have.
See if this does the trick. If if does not, just let me know.

An Epson service man (he was VERY kind to suggest this) told me to use a weak detergent solution on the rollers, NOT alcohol as that will dry out the material the rollers are made of. Although the problem has recurred a couple of times, it's worth repeating when necessary. I actually activate the 'print' command so it tries to feed in paper, while I FIRMLY hold a piece of fine cotton cloth stretched over a thin plastic ruler, which I hold down where the paper feed grabs its paper. The printer has a couple of tries to feed paper, reports an error message (because there was no paper) and I activate it again, thus exposing the WHOLE of the feed wheel to the cleansing cloth! WORTH A TRY!
