Try unplugging from the mains for at least 30 sec and plug in again.

SOURCE: standby light flashes 3 times

A 3 flash pattern indicates that either the lamp is not seated correctly or that the lamp door is not latched properly. It can also be a fault with the switches that sense whether the lamp is seated or the door is latched. Try reseating the lamp and relatching the lamp door

SOURCE: LCD TV won't turn on, Screen and Standby light blink

I had a similar problem which I have partially solved. The power light flashing could be due to a shorted electrolytic on the power supply board but in my case it was a shorted IC on the main board, the one with the input connectors. The IC marked 7001 shorted and got hot enough to melt the plastic. Replaced it with a new one from Mouser. The supply measured on the end of inductor 5001 farthest from the IC reads 12V now. This is a surface mount part and has a pad on the bottom that may be soldered to a pad under it. I had to cut the IC apart carefully with a Dremel cutoff wheel to remove it. That fixed the problem with the light and the remote now turns the TV on and off so the logic is working.

I now have the problem of the backlight not turning on. The driver board, the ones with the transformers, are made by Intechwave, the only info I can find is here: http://www.peopleworks.co.kr/kor/product/product_list.php?intDivision=4&intClass1=16&intClass2=41

This a 45kHz RF driver and it is not starting. If I can figure out why I'll post it for all the people who reported slow or no turn on of the backlight. These boards should have 24V between the red wires on the connectors and ground, as mine do.

SOURCE: KDF-50a12U Powers off then standby light blinks 3 times

Please recheck Lamp Cover and make sure it is fixed in its space securely as 3 times red blink shows lamp cover error.
There is small safety switch in TV cabinet under lamp cover that has to be pushed by lamp cover if it is fixed in its position properly. That switch is not being pressed by lamp cover and causing this error.
Thanks.

SOURCE: My 42PF5321D/37 will not turn on, just flashes a

Most likely a power supply problem. If it's covered under the warranty take it in right away and have them fix it. If not a good Philip's service shop can fix it. They may have a flat fee repair charge?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Keep getting a blue screen when i try to connect xbox1 or ps4 with hdmi lead on the Toshiba 32KV500B T.V

Contact any service technician. If the HDMI firmware haven't installed, the set won't accept the HDMI signal. A software update will be necessary; if this is the case. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Have just purchased Toshiba 32kv500b tv and as there is only one scary socket don,t know how to attach a dvd player can you help with this problem please?

Connect the cables from your dvd player to the connections on the side, not the back, of the tv. If you are using component cables, match the colors in the 3 top ones (YPbPr) and the red and white go down into R&L just above the headphone jack. If you are using composite the plug the yellow just above the R&L connections.

Hi, I have recently purchased a Toshiba 32KV500B television. I tried to turn it on but the stanby light is flashing. No image or sound is coming out from the TV. I have checked all cables. unplugged them...

The flashing standby light means the TV is updating. Probably wasn't the best idea to unplug it, but if you leave the TV to update for around 1 hour, everything will be back to normal.
