Found a local man on the internet, who popped in and leant the machine forward then backwards and then flushed out the system, explaining that the program cycle had gone awry and there was water where there should have been air and so microswitches had not triggered in the right sequence. All fine now.

Hello Maureen Johnson, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by acknowledging your post indicates the problem is with your dishwasher not starting/functioning, however if you could post the complete model & serial number I would be better equipped to help you further. If you could also verify it is a Viking (built by Asko) as the header suggests.

I'll look forward to your reply and try and help you move forward from there.

Thank you. Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Hi, my dishwasher type ariston LI 420 does not drain.the led 1 and 2 from left side blinking. Can you suggest me somethings. there's a file with the error led code to consult. Thanks' in advance

you might have a blockage in your filter or in the pump, first i would find out where your waste pipe goes out to if it is plumbed out through ur sink take the hose off and hold it in a bucket and turn the unit on you should hear a sucking sound and if the does now drain then have a look in the sink waste trap it is very common for the sink waste to get blocked

DIshwasher wont start, flashes pre-wash and was lights

1) Ensure the dishwasher is turned off. 2) (may not apply) Turn the plastic blue lever located under the sink to the vertical position (this opens the valve, so water can go into the dishwasher) 3) Pour powder indo the dishwasher 4) Turn the dishwasher controller to the top position (the 12 o?clock position) ? this is the eco-setting. 5) Press the on/power button on the dishwasher, so that it now turned on (a light will display) 6) Move the dishwasher controller to the ?R? position (it?s on the very left), and leave it there a second or two. 7) Move the dishwasher controller back to the eco-setting (the 12 o?clock position).

Stars cycle thin stops lights reg and eco start blinking

Clean out the filter really well, then replace it. This should reset the dishwasher. If it does it again when you try to run the dishwasher. Take the filter out and re-seat it. Some times it's not sitting exactly right. Good luck and I hope that helps.
