Question about Lexmark X5470 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have changed the black ink cartridge and it wont work
Well if you are sure you replaced it with the correct model cartridge the only possible cause of this is a defective chip on the new cartridge, this is very common with "refilled" cartridges.
I would return the cartridge if it is new and simply exchange it, if this is indeed a new cartridge then it is probably just a fluke.
there is one other possibility if this does not solve your problem, the cartridge slot could have a bad sensor, unfortunatly if this is the case the printer is generally not worth fixing if you spent less then 250$ on it, so you may simply need a new printer but i would obviously try another cartridge first as bad cartridges are fairly common.
