You would have had to have the hard drive specifically insured against damage you should check your computers insurance policy it should be insured against damage read the fine print.

Did you try to connect it to another PC, different port in the same PC? Are all SATA ports enabled on the motherboard? It may be problem with fault motherboard, sata/power cables or the hard drive itself.
If it's a second drive for you can you try connecting it through USB bridge to see will it work that way.

Hi Igra,

If your motherboard is latest, go to BIOS or CMOS Set up and look for HDD properties and if you can find the Enhanced or Compatible mode..please change it to Compatible so your computer can detect the SATA Harddrive.

When I turn my xbox on I have audio but no video. I have used multiple tv's and cords but the same problem occurs. What is wrong with it?

The video card or GPU is bad. usuall the RROD will follow this error soon. if its still undr warrenty turn in a claim online or call 1-800-4my xbox and set up a repair. Go online to and check the status of the warrenty first before calling. if the 1 yr warrenty is expired state the problem has neing the red ring or 3 flashing red lights error and the warrenty on this is 3 yrs. they will fix it for free

You're harddrive is failing. Back up your data before it completely crashes and get a new one. More Harddrive manufacturers offer a 5 year warrenty, if you haven't had your computer that long, check with the manufacturer for replacement
