Question about Dell Latitude CPX Notebook
I am running WINXP SP3, and my brand new Toshiba 400GB HDD is not being recognized by the system either through the onboard USB port or through the PCMCIA 2 port USB card, which I think is a generic from China. All it says on the card itself is USB 2.0 Cardbus 2 port Notebook Adapter.
Please help ASAP as I have been going quietly insane these past few days looking for USB drivers for my laptop/cardbus/HDD without any success.
Thank You ahead of time for all your help and efforts.
New hard drives need to be formatted! So go into the control panel switch to classic view, ( if you are still using category view for the control panel ) open administrative tools, then open computer management. Next open disk management. In disk management your new drive will show as raw, you will be give the option of formatting the drive, select primary partition and format in NTFS.
This will then format the drive, when this has finished your new drive will appear in my computer.
