Yes they come in all sorts of fabric. You have to know what types of fabric your cat likes. You know a lot of cats are picky. My tends to distroy all fabric beds for some reason. I will put a bed out in the closet where he likes to sleep and he avoids it. I put him in and he jumps out. The he will sleep in another bed I have on another floor then he will sleep in another closet on the floor so natural and synthic fabric can or can not work.

There are cat beds made from plastic, fabric, wicker, and soft materials. I personally avoid wicker baskets because they tend to get destroyed pretty quickly and can be a pain to wash.

What features should I look for when buying a bed for my cat?

Before buying a bed for your cat, make sure the bed meets the following standards: - The bed is big enough for the cat to stretch out comfortably. - The bed should be easily accessible for the cat. This means that the sides are not too high and the cat can get in and out of the bed easily. - The materials of the bed should be comfortable. - The materials of the bed should be durable and withstand the sharp claws of the cat. - The bed is washable (machine or hand-washed).

How to make your own cat bed

You don't need to spend loads of money buying your cat abed, you can make one yourself for almost nothing using materials that youalready have at home:
Find a good d empty plastic or cardboard box that youno longer need (laundry baskets are good).
If your box is made from cardboard and doesn't seem sturdy, reinforce it by lining it with material or extra card.
Cut a section out of the box so that your cat has a goodview of what's going on around him.
Put some soft bedding or towels that you no longer need inthe bottom. You can even use old sweaters etc just make sure they are soft.
Some cats prefer the smell of their owners, in which casedon't wash the items first.
Now put the bed somewhere comfy that you know your catlikes to hang out.
Make sure the cat bed is a good so that your cat canstretch out but not too big. Cats can't get cozy if they have too much space.

What are the different types of heating beds for cats?

There are two types of heating beds for cats: thermal beds and electric beds. Thermal beds use insulating material, which uses the body heat of the cat in order to warm up the bed. Electric beds use electricity in order to warm up the bed. This allows the bed to be warm at all time. This type of heating bed is most expensive. If you have a tight budget, you can get your cat a microwavable pad in order to provide it with warmth. The downside of these pads is that they provide heat for only 30 minutes to an hour.

What kind of bed do I need for a very old and inactive cat?

Older cats need a warm, comfortable bed in a draught-free area of the house where they can sleep safely and not be disturbed. Keep in mind that they may need to stretch out, so get a bed best suited to your cats individual needs.

My cat likes to spend most of her time by the window. Is there any kind of bed I can buy her so that she is more comfortable lounging?

Yes there is! There is a special mounted bed specifically for windows. I have one for my cat and he loves it - spends his whole day on it practically. I will send you some information on where to buy one. This is the bed that I have; however there are plenty to choose from.

How can I wash my cats bed?

Firstly you should try and remove the cat hair from the bed - I use my vacuum for this. Then you should remove the material cover from the foam filling. You can now put it in your washing machine. Do not put it in with your clothes! You can hang it out to dry and then put the cover back on and hey presto!
