The DE error comes up when the refrigerator has not detected adefrostcurrent within a certain amount of time. This is most often theresultof a burnt out defrost heater. The refrigeratorwill likelykeep working for a week or so until the frost builds up andblocks theair flow over the evaporator (the cooling coils behind theback wall ofthe freezer). The defrost heater is located at the bottomof saidevaporator.
You can try your zip code in http://www.geappliances.com/buy/ and look for a servicing dealer.

My frost free fridge freezer is working but flashing de on the front. I'd like to know what it means

Error codes are brand (and often model) specific. "de" likely indicates something in the defrost process, especially on G.E. Check for ice build-up in the freezer cooling coil. The control board would be suspect, but must be checked to confirm the precise fault.

The oven overheated and now a PF is on the face

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire range, model# GLHS269ZDB, overheated, and is now showing a "PF" code displayed on the control panel. The "PF" code means that there was a power failure. You can clear that by pressing any button. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Ge Eterna side by side fridge control panel in and out not on

First thing I would do is unplug the fridge then reset the breaker, then plug the fridge back in to see if your display shows back up. If it does not you can check the power source by plugging a radio in in the wall where the fridge is plugged in. If it works then you will have to pull the back panel off of the fridge and check for any loose connections or wires. Sometimes it's just a marrette that has vibrated loose and the wire pops out. If all looks good there then the down side is that the control is probubally pooped out and needs to be replaced, and with no control then the fridge and freezer will not run. Hope that helps

Refrigerator make and model - GE TFG27PFX[A] Refrigerator side is ok freezer does not freeze as it should. display indicated PF. on inspection i found the bottom cooling coil frosted , but nothing...

Hi,
This model is an older unit, so when you stated frost how much? Is the fan running in the freezer? If you have a-lot of frost in the freezer you could have a defrost problem. Most common in the unit was the heater would fail to work over time. There is 3 different components that control this function, defrost timer, defrost heaters and defrost terminator. All three have a purpose and a job, they depend on each other to complete this cycle.
Here is a link on GE and Defrost System
I hope this helps you, If you need time to complete this or what for parts, you can defrost the unit, and it can take up to 3 - 5 days to re-occur, yes the unit will do this again unit repaired correctly.
Good Luck

The "de" is flashing on my display. I know it

Try the reset procedure:--- Turn the fridge freezer off by the wall socket for 10 minutes. Then reconnect the power again and see.If that is not helping then ,DE is most likely indicating a defrost problem.. open the freezer and take a look at the back of the freezer wall - is there a bunch of frost on that back wall? If the ice is collected there then unplug the unit for 24 hours to manually defrost it or take a hair dryer and defrost all collected ice to defrost the ice quickly. There also could be a temperature problem due to a defrost failure, easy to check the freezer temperature to confirm.---------------- Thank you.

GE Arctica intermittant clicking sound, panel flashes "hrs"

It sounds like the main control board is going bad . This controls every part on the fridge , except for the light bulbs . It's located on the back of the refrig , behind an 8" X 10" panel , with about 11 screws , holding the panel on . Part number WR55X10656 .
