Question about Brother MFC 210C All-In-One InkJet Printer
*I have a brother MFC-210C All-in-one that won't scan anything straight to my computer.
*I got it second hand, for free, with no manuals or anything. I was told it worked just fine.
*I have a MacBook, Mac OS X, version 10.4.11.
*When I press the "scan" button, the little screen shows "scan: select *up arrow* *down arrow* and whatever I select the little screen only shows "Connecting to PC" for a short while and then nothing happens and it goes back to showing the time and date.
*Is there some specific programme or something that I have to have on my computer in order for the scanner to work?
*Or can anyone give me a step-by-step help on what I'm supposed to do?
*Or does the scanner on this particular brand of printers simply not work with Macs?
*I can use the Printer on it, though, and also the Copy Machine. And they both work fine. I haven't tried to use the Fax or the Photo Capture, because I don't particularly need those features.
With sincere hope of good answers.
Never mind. I went to http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/eu/eu_ot/en/model_top/colormfc/mfc210c_all.html?reg=eu&c=eu_ot&lang=en&prod=mfc210c_all and downloaded a program called "Brother Control Center"(version 2.4.2.) and now my scanner works just splendidly!
