I DO NOT GET GOOD RECEIPTION, THE CD PLAY SKIPS ALL MY CDS
I AM VERY DISSAPPIONTED IN THE PRODUCT , I PURCHASED THIS AT THE HOME DEPOT FOR PERSONAL USE IN MY GARAGE, WHILE I AM WORKING. THEY FACT THAT IT HAS RUINIED SEVERAL OF THE CDS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED IS UNACCPTABLE FOR THE PRICE THAT I PAID FOR THIS . THE REASON I CHOSE YOURS OVER DEWATT IS THEY DID NOT HAVE THE CD PLAYER , THE COST WAS ABOUT 180.00
AND AM VERY DISSAPPIONTED IN THE PRODUCT. HOME DEPOT NO LONGER CARRIES THIS AND IT IS OVER THE 90 RETURN POLICY FOR ELECTRONICS. I WOULD LIKE TO SHIP THIS PRODUCT BACK TO YOU. IT IS IN MINT CONDITION AS WE TAKE CARE OF ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT WE CAN DO TO RESOLVE THIS SITUATION, AS I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY AND I EXPECT TO GET WHAT I PAY FOR . THANK YOU, JUAN C RAMIREZ

Since you have cleaned the lense I will skip that recommendation. I am assuming that you did not use a cleaning cd as they do nothing and many times cause damage to the laser assembly. You should go to my tip to be sure that you have cleaned it properly http://www.fixya.com/support/r4119308-clean_lense_cd_or_dvd_player If you are absolutely sure that the lense is clean and no damage has occurred then you probably have some dried up hard grease on the rails which the laser slides (tracks) on. Clean this stuff off and regrease with a light lubricant and make sure that you do not get any lubricant on anything. See how this works and let me know.
?: Does the cd spins? If it does the optical eye that reads the cd could be dirty. Clean the eye with cd lens cleaner. If the cd is not spinning the motor could be bad. Also some cd players can't read certain disks because of the density of the disk. Make sure you read the manual to see what cds are compatible with your boombox. I hope these solutions were helpful.
Unfortanatly, this is why Emerson only warranties these for 90 days, but I have heard and recommend that you contact Emerson and tell them you did not think that their product would break down after a mear 90 days and a lot of times, they will send you a new one, if you bug them enough. There should be a contact number in the owners manual. If you do not have the owners manual, go to: http://www.emersonelectronics.ca/emerson/en/home/ There is a contact link there. By the way, the problem you are having is a bad spindle motor or the laser optics are bad. Have you tried to clean the small laser lens off yet with a cotton swap and some good 90% or better alcohol? Good Luck
Hi there , heres a simple case of the recording format on the cds , its likely that your daughter's cds are recorded on a computer in a format probably mp3 or higher speed thats not compartible with your boom box . The solution to this is to record your cds in Normal format , and they will surely play !
