Re: tv monitor turns blue during forward or reverse vcr...

On some TV's the screen will go blue if there is not a strong, solid video signal present. This is to prevent the showing of very snowy or all snow channels, or garbled, mixed-up external video signals. This is normal. On some VCR's the video signal changes when the FF or REW search feature is used, and this could trigger the TV to go to blue screen. The only way around this if you can enter the TV's menu and turn off the blue screen feature.

He svhs outputs two vertical white lines on blue screen, what does this indicate please

It sounds like you are describing a test signal used to help tune the vcr to a TV. There should be a switch somewhere marked "test signal". Find it and switch it to off. It should go then. It could be on the back near the aerial connections.

I have acquired a Panasonic NV-FJ620B-S Video Cassette Recorder which has 2 x scart sockets on the back. 1 marked AV2 DECODER/DECODEUR(EX) the other AV1 (TV). The AV1 scart connector works fine on the TV...

Have just visited the Panasonic UK website and the User Manual for the Panasonic NV-FJ620B-S is available free. It lists on page 11 all the details. I'll e-mail it you Tom to see if it helps.

Panasonic vcr - audio working, no video

I think this sounds like the old test signal so you can tune in the RF on a TV. Have a look around the back see if you can see a test switch.
You can also look it up in the manual. If you have lost that you can download it free from the Panasonic website.

I have just acquired a Panasonic NV-HV60 vcr without a remote control. How do I tune it to my tv please?

The simplest way is to get a universal one. If you need the user manual for the vcr you can get it free from the Panasonic website.

This unit does not have a tuner to receive TV broadcasting. If you have the owners manual on page 26 it explains this. If you do not have the manual here is a link to one.

Can't use VCR

There's nothing wrong with your VCR. Your remote probably set to control your TV. To fix that, simply press the VCR button on the remote, and you should be fine. The "T-U" really means "TV," but the designers at Panasonic wanted to use the standard seven-segment display to cut costs, hence "T-U" instead of "TV."

VCR won't record

Check to make sure the cables on the VCR are hooked up correctly. If the in and out are reversed, this might cause your problem. Hopefully it's as simple as that. if not leave a comment and I'll get back to you.

Panasonic NV SJ205 changing RF settings

Your VCR has input to record video-audio signal. Here is 2 options to record program in vcr.
1= You need to hook up video-audio cable at Monitor Out in TV and video-audio in at VCR. select Line-1 or Line-2 (where you hook up cable) in vcr and insert cassette with Record Tab intact, VCR is ready to record TV program. select desired channel on tv and hit record button of vcr, recording will start.
2= Plug RF antenna / cable wire in RF In of vcr and tune desired channel in vcr (get help of vcr's user manual for that) and push record button to start record directly in vcr.
Have further query, let me know please.

Recording on a Panasonic VCR

This problem is undoubtably dirty or worn video heads. Try using a good quality head cleaning tape. If this fails, re-post, and I will explain how to clean heads by hand.
