Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
Is there a reset button?
On the earlier Neptunes, such as the MAH3000, MAH4000, MAH5500 and the 2000 stackers there is a pull cord hidden under the soap dispenser bezel that connects to the door lock mechanism. You have to remove the (4) phillips screws and then you can remove the soap dispenser lid and bezel. You should be able to see a colored cord that looks like really thick fishing line. You will need to pull this cord and the door should unlock.
See www.neptunehelp.com for more door latch wax motor information and disassembly photos so you can inspect the door latch assembly and see what went wrong.
I know some folks have this issue when they install the new 12002535 wax motor and they don't get the plastic piece in the slot that is on the wax motor actuator pin. Instead the plastic piece is resting on the barbed end of the actuator tip and this distance is enough to keep the door locked after you close it.

SOURCE: control lock
look closely at the control panel there is a button marked"control lock hold for 3 secs." probably a small pic of lock on it as well, simply hold for 3 secs to release it,

I would check to make sure the connectors to that door lock are all connected. If they are it's probably the lock/switch mechanism itself. Wow I just checked and they are about $120. The p/n is wh10x10006 You can google around for the best price. Good luck!

The ND error code means NO DRAIN, why it comes up is because the computer thinks that within the normal times it takes to drain the water from the tub it hasnt drained in that time.
Things that will cause it to not drain in the normal time is oversudsing becuase too much detergent was added.
Or something such as lint in the drain pump filter screen restricting the water flow into the pump
