Question about Microwave Ovens

Open Question

We recently bought a Panasonic "the Genius Sensor 1200W" and God are we on our last straw. It won't start on the first try... We have to press the same thing 3 or 4 times while holding the door at different places. At one point we thought it was locked - child but I just unlocked it with no luck. I want to throw it out the window but it was pricy and that would be stupid. Help!!!

During cooking,microwave stopped,no power.

Not good news; Panasonic uses a technologically superior power supply with higher efficiency but an overall worse record than those using a 'linear' supply with far fewer parts and a good track record of reliability.

The modern (switched mode) power supply places a lot more stress on components and requires more and higher quality parts than the old-style circuit.

Panasonic genius 1200w

You may have a failed keypad or moisture or grease on the keypad innards or on the control circuit board itself.
You can find a video here that shows you how to remove the grille & controller in about 5 minutes if it's an over the range model.
You can order Panasonic parts from Encompass here http://tinyurl.com/7qy85y or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Panasonic inverter 900w microwave fault code h97

H95, H97, H98 or H99 mean that there's a problem with your inverter, magnetron, or digital programming circuit.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

On our Panasonic the genius sensor 1200w microwave the bulb burned out so replaced. After replaced turned light switch on both bulbs turned on and right away one bulb burned out and now the switch will not...

Mine burned out within a month. Probably due to the poor design of the machine which forces you to slam the door to get it to shut.
My biggest concern is the under counter lightbulbs it has burned out in my kitchen over the last year. I wonder how much leaking this thing really gives off. Moving in a few weeks and will be throwing this cancer machine out.

I am not sure what you mean. If you are asking how much power it draws in Amps, that is printed on the rear panel as Watts. It depends on your mains voltage.

Our Panasonic Genius 1200w microwave stopped working all of a sudden. It's completely dead - even the front panel. Is it worth fixing?

It could be just the fuse and fixed for a couple bucks. Only way to know is open it up and check it. Eric

1200w Genius microwave, about 4 years old. Has been working no problem until today. When I press start, its starts ok but cuts out after 23 seconds. It does this on every setting.

The 22 seconds is the giveaway. In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer. You can find one here.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
