THE TOUCHPAD MOUSE JUST QUITE WORKING DOES IT NEED REPLACE AND IS IT SEPARATE FRON THE KEYBOARD

It is hard to tell if the touch-pad needs replacing from the information you gave. However, I can tell you that the touch-pad is NOT part of the keyboard.

There are several things the can cause the touch-pad not to work. 1) It may have been turned off in the BIOS. 2) It may have been turned off by the operating system software or 3) You may have installed a usb mouse which in some cases will override the touch-pad. 4) The touch-pad may have a bad connection into the motherboard or into the touch-pad circuits.

I wouldn't go replacing the pad until I had tried all the other possible areas because this requires a complete screw removal from the bottom, removing the display and keyboard. Then removal of the upper case of the laptop. I do this as a last resort.

My my touchpad doesnt worrks

----- control panel - mouse - see if touch pad disabled there ----- have a look in the bios/setup and see if the touch pad is disabled there, as the PC boots - you should see which key to use to enter the bios/setup F2, F10, DEL KEY are often used ----- On some machines a combination of FN and F key can disable/enable the touch pad - F7 or F9 ----- If you point the mouse to the top of the screen you may get a menu dropdown, which will also tell which key to use to disable/enable the touchpad ----- control panel>system>{vista}lefthand side device manger or {XP}hardware>Device Manager>Mouse and other pointing devices>Touchpad>highlight touchpad and right click, Properties, option here to Disable,

How do I disable touch pad when using a mouse? ASUS K50IJ Win7 64 bit

To turn off the touchpad when an external mouse or other pointing device is present, you can goto the Control Panel and double click the Mouse properties icon.

Click the Device Select tab and check "Disable Touch Pad when USB Pointing Device is present." The cursor will no longer move via the touchpad.

Alternatively, you can permanently disable the touchpad of your laptop by clicking the "Disable Device" in the Touch Pad setting. Advanced users can disable the touchpad from the BIOS setup [press F2 when the computer is booting to enter BIOS settings]

Unfortunately, there are no keyboard shortcuts to enable/disable Touchpad movement or tapping. You can however drag the Mouse icon from the control panel to your Quick launch bar for quick access.

If that sounds too much effort, you may consider adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad. This can be accessed from the Touch Pad tab of our mouse properties. Choose a low setting.

Hello, my touch pad stopped working today...the part where I can scroll up and down. What can i do

It is possible that it could be a software issue. First go into the control panel and remove the touch pad listed in the device manager. Now you might lose control of the touch pad so you will need to use ctr, alt, and delete at the same time to bring up the option to re-boot the computer. After you re-boot windows should recognize the touchpad and re-install the drivers. Hopefully that gets the scroll function working for you again. If not you can alos try downloading the latest driver updates from dell for you computer touchpad and see if that works. If not could be the touchpad is defective.

Try going to Toshiba's support page and re-install the driver for the touchpad. If this does not work. You may need to replace the touchpad itself.

Keyboard + toucpad freezes

Might seem ovious but you may want to try Acer support and look for a new Driver.. Also check under Control Panel...Mouse options... and also check device profiles to make sure windows isn't loading a "docked profile which may disable touchpad and laptop keybaord use.
