SOURCE: Ariens Yard Tractor 935 Series - initially drives, then stops moving as it gets warm

Is it a hydrostatic tranmission? If so, sounds like the fluid might be old or not the right viscosity. Recommend changing the trans fluid, and use recommended viscosity of fluid.

SOURCE: John Deere L120 transmission high pitch noise and no forward move

Try jacking the unit up. Start it up and try moving pushing the forward and reverse back and forth and see if it does it then. It sounds like an oil way in the hydrostatic unit has a check valve stuck. Of course make sure that the fluid lever is up. Hope this will help you. donnyb60

SOURCE: Stalls when engage blades in forward, but cuts fine in reverse

Did you try to disengage the safety feature that should shut the tractor off when the blades are engaged and the tractor is placed in reverse? I believe that it is located under the shift leaver

SOURCE: Loss of drive in a Craftsman Lawn tractor

I also have a Craftsman tractor with the same problem. Sears repairman said it needed a new transmission and it would cost $1,400 to install. A new one is about $1,000. Anyway, if you remove the battery and the battery tray under the seat it will expose the transmission fill hole (hex). I opened the top and it looked empty. I had a bottle of 90 weight gear oil in my shop and filled the transmission to the top. I have not had any problems with it since. $4.00 bottle of oil verses a new tractor is worth a try.

B3200 Kubota Engjne shuts down when you try to travel forward or dackward. It will continue to run if you barely move.I think it is some kind of pressure switch or shutdown switch

Most likely the safety switch in the seat is faulty. You can test it by flipping up your seat and unplugging the switch. Make up a short jumper wire to complete the circuit and try moving the tractor.

I have a Kubota G6200 hst lawn tractor. Mowing the other day and it started sputtering. Then the forward/reverse pedal quit working. It starts great. just will not move.

Obviously you have an issue with the drive to the rear wheels.. Need to check the transmission of power from the motor and see where it stops. Could the the tranny or shifting mechanism at fault

If there is a belt drive check for a good belt or one that has not stretched and slipped off its pulley.

What is happening when you try to start the machine? Any noises at all? Have you made certain that you have all safety switches contacted? Make certain that all attachments are turned off.

Kubota T1570 transmission will not engage in forward or reverse. Starts fine and runs fine, mower blades engage, but no movement. Worked yesterday, not working today. Any ideas? Thank you.

Only problems that come to mind are rather obvious ones. My first guess would be a broken HST belt- the one from the engine to transmission- OR part of that belt assembly (idler pulley, slipped off a pulley, broken tension spring). Another possibility would be the pedal linkage. Maybe a pin fell out of that somewhere and the linkage isn't engaging the transmission.

Have a John Deere lawn tractor. It starts and runs fine in forward gears, but when put in reverse it stalls . Any ideas what it may be? Could there be a faulty limit switch of some sort?

does it stall when mowing in reverse?
its supposed to do that
look for an over ride switch or button some the key has to be in reverse position to mow
