lift the end of the drain hose see if the tub fills and goes in the rinse cycle if it works you have a syphon problem if so make your drain pipe stand longer.

I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.

You have a restriction in your drain line or pump. Also you could have a pump going out. It will smell like a bad motor. So check for a restriction first.

Hi, i fixed a Fisher & Paykel GW609AU Smartdrive Excellence 6.5 Washing Machine that would start then stop then start then stop a few more times before eventually beeping.
I fixed it by bypassing (joined the white and yellow wire) the trip out switch which is located under the control module(one screw to remove). Now it Works.
First remove the keypad wires to the control board, then remove the screw holding the control board to the frame. The switch is underneath [to the right] of the control board. Looking at the switch you will have 2 wires to it, [it is just a normal microswitch]. now be careful on this next part, remove the switch from where it is clipped in. Remove the 2 wires to it. Does it look corroded?. See the little button on it, push it. Is it clicking positivity? Have you got an electrical test meter? You need to test for conductivity between the 2 contacts that the wires were on. if u have no conductivity then that is the problem.
