Machine is only over a year and a half old, hardly ever used- I use a Lenovo laptop most of the time now. I have the case off and cleaned away any dusty I could see- but to no avail. Cannot find the manual solutions on their website

The beeps are telling you there is a hardware failure (POST). The number and length of beeps will give a better indication as to what has failed. Write back with that info and someone on this web site will interpret this for you.

Turn the computer off.
Remove the side case-cover.
Look at all the fans -- they should spin easily, and smoothly, if you give them a "push".

Turn the computer on, and confirm that all the visible fans are spinning.

Feel the exhaust from the "back" of the power-supply; there's a fan inside the power-supply. No exhaust means that the fan inside the power-supply has failed.

Failed fans allow the computer to overheat, start "beeping", and shutdon the computer.

I have an Acer Aspire 5732Z notebook for about a year. I now get a continuous beeping when I try to boot up and then I get a black screen after the F2 comes up on the screen.
I have tried to find out what beep codes there are for the Acer Aspire, but I can't find any. If we can't pinpoint the hardware problem then we can't use our 2 year warranty for hardware---how convenient for Acer Company!

You have to count the beeps to determine what work. Overall if the system beeps on startup it sounds like the memory (RAM) is not working. My suggesting to either buy new RAM or reseat the existing memory by taking about and put back in.

How to troubleshoot my computer acer ZS600?

More than a single beep occurring during the boot up sequence usually indicate a fault in the hardware somewhere. I give below a link which will show you what the various codes mean for your ACER. The link is :-

This should give you some idea of what is happening.

1 long, 1 short beep : System board problem

The beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the RAM , all the memory in the RAM is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL.

No display when using bulit in graphic card or AGP grahic card

ok!

first,

check your
motherboard
if all pin is conected properly

check your power suplly
try to replace the power supply

is not necessary to replace the power supply with the original powersupply
replace with standart 350 watt power supply (or higher)

then if the problem is still exsist
check *********** board
try to replace the motherboard

replace it with
any socket 478 motherboard

if nothing change
try to replace the RAM module
replace it with any DDR RAM module

then the last one
if nothing change
you must replace your processor
with an 478 socket processor

note: replace the component with borrowed
you  can borrow the component from your friends or anyone
then if your computer is showing display again
you can buy the component from ebay
