Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC

No administrator access

I have been trying to install a new anti-virus pack to my computer but everytime I try it says I don't have administrative access. I log in as administrator and it still says there is an account restriction and won't let me install it. I'm sure I have a virus or something on my computer because I am losing files on my computer.

You have some kind of malware. Get the free malwarebytes' antimalware from

Then install it and run a quick scan. Then remove the malware. Do a reboot and try again.

Another solution. Get the BARTPE builder and make a bootable CD. Then run it and recover the admin password with the tools provided.

    Download from here:

Then download the "Change admin password" plugin from:

You'll need to read a little on the BARTPE page but you'll be able to reset your admin password to a blank password.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Abusript instalation could not open registry

It wasn't started with administrative rights. If this is in windows 7, 8, or 10, right click and run the installer with administrative rights. If the program still can't access the registry, it is likely that a registry file it requires is locked down by a security program (anti-virus, anti-rootkit, anti-spyware, anti-adware, anti-malware). Try disabling these programs before installing.

Your firewall or antivirus program is blocking the program from editing the registry if you want to use the program you need to disable your security program for the duration of the setup.

Hi my computer has a bad virus that i cant get rid of. ive tried a lot of programs but my computer is still the same.

ave you done a full virus scan with up-to-date anti-virus software?

If you don't have any anti-virus software and you use the Internet, you REALLY need to get some! My preferred anti-virus package is Norton Anti-Virus but, if you want a free copy in a hurry, download AVG Anti-Virus from - that's also excellent smile.gif
