You have a bad detector in the radio. Needs serviced. Change the bad detector diode and it should work. Good Luck

SOURCE: CHANGING FROM FREQUENCY TO CHANNEL MIDLAND 75-822

Some models of the 75-822 do not offer this as a feature. Instructions for it are not included in the manual. I recently encountered a refurbished model packed with a manual such as this. Pressing and holding the "F" button toggles between Channel number and Frequency number display.

Yikes- Sounds like it's time for factory servicing! Hopefully, they still support that model. If not you'll probably have to buy a new one.

I have an almost new Midland 75-822 that the WX works fine on, but the CB doesn't seem to receive, or transmit. It operates normally, but no reception, and no evidence of transmissions.

Be sure you have installed a brand new needle. If it still does not pick up the bobbin thread, the machine may be out of time.

If the presser foot does not set firmly on the fabric, then that is what you want for free motion quilting. However, if you mean the presser foot is sloppy (wobbly), then the attachment may be loose or the presser foot is worn.

The problem is with the headsets, not the motorcycle. If the headsets are generic they may not have the proper mic connections. How do the radios work without the headsets?

Midland 75-785

Given the fact that when you key up the mic you should not hear any thing because the receiver section is "turned off" (no antenna and the speaker is muted). This would seem to indicate that the switch the headset controls which allow the change over from RX to Tx is bad or that the circuit in the CB unit which the head set plugs into is having a problem. Do you hear the same flutter without the headset? Try to get another headset or test one out just to see if the problem is eliminated by using a known good headset.
