SOURCE: My wireless light on my router doesn't light

Easiest solution first: Unplug the router for 1 minute and plug it back in. See if it works.

Second solution: Log into the router via the built in ethernet switch and see if the wireless capability got switched off by itself (Rare, but it happens). Switch the wireless capability back on.

(BTW, is that the only light that does not light up?)

SOURCE: Netgear WNDR4500 power light flashes, no internet access

most routers have a reset button on the side that you can access with a pin or small wire ,to reset you press in on the small button,if not you can always unplug your router and close down your computer then replug the router and restart the computer. normally this will solve the problem as the settings for the router are in the computer.

SOURCE: disconnecting from the network every 15 minutes

Two things you can try.

Simple - just power off the unit for a minute or so then power back on. You may have already tried this.

A bit more complicated - You can go to Dlinks site and see if there is a firmware upgrade for your unit (you can see if you have the latest available).

Select "Support Resources" in the Window on the right.

If the unit was working correctly and just started with this behavior, there may the as issue with it.

Note that this product has been discontinued by Dlink.

How do I enable UPnP on a Smart RG SR350N router

UPnP ports are sever security hazards so they are disabled by just about anything that has anything to do with security. The router might not be the problem; you might have to enable it in the network security software and on the individual devices involved as well.

My Netgear WPN824 wireless router stopped working. With the exception of the internet LED (which doesn't come on at all), all of the lights are blue and doing sort of a slow, pulsating blink. No m

The RESET button is for resetting the wireless section of the router and does not effect the Internet connection.
It looks like the wireless access is faulty especially when you cannot reset and configure the wireless settings.
Try powering off the Netgear for 10 mins the connect the power again.
If you still cannot RESET the Netgear then it is faulty and you need a new wireless router.

Installing a linksys router with a u-verse RG.

Hi sgolob48,

First, make sure that the wireless network capability ofthe U-Verse RG is diabled (since you're using the Linksys for that purpose).

Second, make sure the ethernet cabel from the back of the RG connects to an LAN port on the Linksys (NOT the Linksys's WAN port).

Finally, disable the DHCP feature on the Linksys (since DHCP should be active on the U-VerseRG). Here's how:
1) Install the Linksys software on your computer and open your internet browser.
2) Type the URL (default for Linksys access ponts).
3) You'll be asked to enter a username and password. The default is username "admin" and password either "admin" or [blank].
4) Once you've logged in, scroll down on the basic settings page (the one that loads automatically) to where it says Network Address Server Settings (DHCP). Click the radio button next to Disable, then click Save Settings at the bottom.

What you've basically done is make the Linksys another computer in your network, and the one that others will connect to the RG through.

I hope this helps - please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Kind regards,
