So many problems, need help!

1. Contacts names dont appear when they call or text - just number
2. Can't forward a text message to other people - option greyed out
3. Stylus has stopped going into housing smoothly & clicking in.
4. Stylus doesn't start the notes option when you bring it out of housing
5. Touchflo issues

Please help!!!

- Thanks. Tried that. Contacts still coming up without a name even though I have them already stored in my contacts. I will reset and try again! Thanks for the info.

- Had the second Vario 4 in 6 days delivered from T-Mobile with exactly the same problems. Spoke to HTC who said it was a s/w problem with t-mobile, spoke to tech support at T-mobile who have asked me choose another phone!!!!! Fab idea!

- I have had the very same problems!! I have had my T-mobile Vario 4 for just 2 days and already I am having problems with it! As stated Contacts names don’t appear! Can't forward a text message to other people! And after a few hours of use the stylus just stopped going into housing smoothly & clicking in! which is very irritating.
Also I have been trying to set up email accounts on my MDA so I may send and receive emails on the go. This function should be the most basic for this phone to do but the MDA vario 4 does not seem to want to access any email account. Hotmail, yahoo or blueyonder! Keeps going back to the name and pass word page. My suggestion would be stay away from the T-mobile vario 4 version and go for the o2 XDA Serra. It is much better any everything seems to work ok.

It is an registry bug from the t-mobile software..
It has been found on only the T-Mobile branded Raphael's.

How to fix it:
Install an Registry Editor

Here http://htc-raphael-100.handster.com/software.php?id=3199&for=HTC+Raphael+100

or

http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/

Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>ControlPanel>Phone
Here is an D-Word registry called: CallIDMatch, the value on my phone was standing on "12". When you edit the value and set it to 8. All of the problems dissappear.
It recognizes every type of storage of contact.
and that is your prob solved ;o)
