I have intel DG965RY motherboard. I have reformatted my PC and installed the chipset and drivers from the web as I have no disks. I still have one device showing an exclamation on my device manager which is the PCI memory controller. Correct me if Im wrong but I thought that should have been installed along with the chipset. I have read a few forums and I have updated my bios also which was suggested there but still to no effect.
Can someone help with this please??

- Thanks for the info
I have tried this but unfortunately it hasn't worked. I have an ATI Radeon X1300 series graphics card installed. I had already downloaded just the graphics driver for it but after your suggestion I then downloaded the whole suite. Still nothing though.
I checked out the spec for the motherboard incase it was to do with it. I found that it has an intel 82G965 graphics and memory controller on it. I then proceeded to download a driver for this only for it to tell me that the PC does not have the capability for it. Having checked that I know that it does. Is this controller essential to the running of my system as it is actually a works computer and only has limited tasks?
Any further help would be great.
Regards

Hi, This is to do with the interface control between the motherboard and your graphics card. For instance, if you have a nVidia graphis card, the latest driver for your particular card will contain the PCI memory controller information for you operating system. So get the latest driver for your graphics card and see if the yellow exclamation mark disappears..

Can I obtain a schematic for an ASUS P4S800D-E Motherboard for the purpose of troubleshooting? I may have destroyed Q23 when my probe slipped and very briefly shorted pin 1 & 2(tab). The current problem is that my ohmmeter reads 0.4 ohms across pins 1 & 2 in either direction. When applying power, the power supply shuts down within 2 seconds.

I have just downloaded the latest BIOS driver (MQ96510J.86A.1755.2008.1121.0001)for the DG965RY intel motherboard. When loading Windows XP i get the blue screen of death. I've got a SAMSUNG disk manager which when loaded shows that there are no Hard drives connected to the Motherboard controller i.e no Primary Master/Slave HDD fitted. But against "Unknown Controller" it identifies my HDD as BIOS drives. I've got a Seagate ST380020A PATA fitted as a slave and a SAMSUNG HD501LJ SATA. Can anyone help me?
