Question about Amazon Kindle Fire HD
I fixed my Kindle Fire not coming on by plugging in Kindle Fire to charge and let it charge for 2 hours and then holding down the on button for up to 2 minutes until the Tablet reset and turned on the screen. I have had to do this twice now and I have had my Kindle Fire for over 4 years now. Rich

It is possible that your Kindle Fire's battery has died. If you noticed
the battery life diminishing before it wouldn't turn on at all this may
be the case. Here is a site that has replacement batteries for the

Try Recharging and then resetting by holding down the power button until the kindle logo pops up.

SOURCE: Kindle light is orange when
Try to slide and hold the on switch until after the power light blinks three times (should happen after a little more than 5 seconds). Release the switch after the blinks and the Kindle should start up.
This is only necessary if the Kindle was switched off by the same method before, or if the battery was completely drained. A short nudge of the power switch merely puts it in and out of a power-saving sleep mode, the prolonged hold really cuts / reinstates power.

Testimonial: "Nope, nothing. I tried plugging the usb into my laptop. The Kindle doesn't show up or it says no data/driver found."
