there can be many possible issues here. So if you do not find the answer on the first try you should post what you have tried already. That said...
has your connection worked with this same equipment in the past?
If so I would unplug all devices from the wall and power off your computer. Then power up each, one at a time. Start with your modem, next router, next computer.
If still no connection, You should be sure your modem is connecting to the internet, by eliminating the router. Use an ethernet cable directly to computer. re-powering all devices with each con figuration.
If you do have a connection w/o the router then I would reset the router by using a paperclip to press the rest button on the back. this will reset it back to factory defaults.
Again re-power all devices and let us know how it goes.
