SOURCE: Coolpix 5200 + 4GB SD card

Any size SD card will work. The capacity limit is with the card, not the camera. All the camera does is serve as a recorder/reader for the card.

Use a good antivirus software to scan the SD card. Your SD card could be infected.

Hope this helped.

SOURCE: My Coolpix 4200 does not recognise SD cards

Try re-formatting the card. It should be one of your camera menu options.

If that doesn't work, buy or borrow another card and try that. If a new card doesn't work you've a camera problem.

If its a camera problem, I'd try the Nikon web site, follow links to support and/or downloads to see if there's a firmware upgrade for the camera.

Why is my nikon coolpix L26 not uploading my pictures

First, use the review function to make sure your camera actually took the pictures. Assuming it did, I would remove the SD memory card from the camera and use a card reader to transfer the pictures to your computer. If your computer does not have an SD memory reader, many USB readers are available for under $20. They are USB devices and once they are attached to your computer and you insert the SD card, the computer will act as if the SD card is another external hard drive. You will be able to transfer your photo files from the SC card to a file on your hard drive via copy and paste or drag and drop. Although you can erase your card when you are done by deleting the files, it is better to put the card back in your camera and use the format function found in you camera's menus.

Nikon Coolpix L310 usb driver

Do you really need a driver?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My camera says my memory card is write protected. What does that mean and how do I turn it off?

Remove you SD card from its slot and look at the card. With the card's label facing you and the angled corner to the top right, look on the left edge of the card and you will see a very small slide switch and the label will probably have the word "lock" printed on it. Slide the switch upward toward the top edge of the card and the memory will work. This is called a write protect feature and it is designed to prevent you from accidentally erasing your important pictures.

The photos on the SD card may have been deleted. To recover deleted photos use the Recuva program.

This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted from your iPod, or by bugs, crashes and viruses!
  • Put the memory card into an USB card reader and plug it into the USB port in your computer, then run the Recuva program.
  • Simple to use interface - just click 'Scan' and choose the files you want to recover
  • Easy to use filter for results based on file name/type
  • Simple Windows like interface with List and Tree view
  • Can be run from a USB thumb drive
  • Restores all types of files, office documents, images, video, music, email, anything.
  • Supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, NTFS5 , NTFS + EFS file systems
  • Restores files from removable media (SmartMedia, Secure Digital, MemoryStick, Digital cameras, Floppy disks, Jazz Disks, Sony Memory Sticks, Compact Flash cards, Smart Media Cards, Secure Digital Cards, etc.)
  • Restores files from external ZIP drives, Firewire and USB Hard drives
  • It's fast, tiny and takes seconds to run!

I need to find a download to help me retrieve my pictures from my camera Nikon Coolpix L310

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

I bought this camera Nikon Coolpix S203 used and need to delete the pictures off the Sd card. How do i unlock it to delete them?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

The best thing to do may be to format the card. This not only wipes all photos from the card, but cleans up the directory. Formatting should be done every time you finish transferring pictures to your computer.
