All the program buttons on my Astoria SAE2 were flickering at once. I turned the machine off and on again and it was gone but am wondering why it was flashing.

if the machine runs on 220, then it will do that with a power surge, because sometimes, when there is a surge, it drops to 110 power it is enough to do this, if it is wire and on 110 power, could be a programing issue that is triggered from a power surge. Most likely it was a power surge, that is common, especially if it is 220 power, machine will run if only 110, power, but wont operated fully for the proper steam, boiler temps etc, if does not have enough amp, just enough to flicker. Hope this info helps. Thanks Mr Bean Man from fixya

Running lights and dash lights began to flicker, Off/On

The battery cables may need cleaning. The battery may be going bad. or voltage may be fluctuating due to charging system not making enough power. If volt regulator goes bad this could give to much power and then dump the excess making surges in power.Check fuses for good contact. Also make sure ground wires to frame and accesories are good.

Fan and light not responding to remote

Hello,
The power surge has burnt out the circuit board in the fan. It will cost more to get a new board if you can... then the fan is worth.
Replace the fan...

My 2002 electra glide classic head light flickers when the bike is running?

The voltage regulator is starting to fail. The headlight is flickering with the pulsing of the alternator when the motor is running. If you have had your Harley long enough, you are familiar with the "potato potato" sound when idling. That sound is the result of the 45 degree angle of the cylinders and the flywheel surging, which is absolutely normal. So, when the engine is idling and the alternator is surging in time with the motor, the voltage is surging as well; the voltage regulator is what steadies the power so the bike puts out steady light.

So now we are back to beginning of my answer to you; the voltage regulator is failing and that is what is causing your lights to flicker.

The voltage regulator is mounted on the bottom front outside part of the frame. An easy way to locate it is to get down there and find the oil filter, there is a box there with fins (heat sinks) right there. Change that and you will not have a flickering problem.

2005 Mazda MPV Electrical Problem

Fix the overheating problem first.Could just be a faulty coolant temperature sensor.
Then tackle the charging system.
Maybe a bad cable or alternator on the way out.

2003 with 3-0 well maitained. truck misfires at slow speeds.mechanic put computer on it and it indicated misfired on #1 cylinder at 1000 rpms changed wires didnt solve the problem. engine light still comes...

A misfire on this type of vehicle can be due to 2 factors if it missing spark it will trigger a misfire code and it you have a bad INJECTOR. Most misfires are due to missing spark but there are quite a few in my experience that were due to bad injectors or bad injector wiring. To check this you need a NOID light disconnect injector wire on suspected cylinder in your case #1 and connect wire to NOID light (engine must be running for this) Your NOID light should have a consistent flickering light going while vehicle runs at idle. If light its NOT flickering at a steady pace and flickers erratically. THE PROBLEM IS A BAD Injector wiring or a bad computer. If light flickers consistently and in a steady pattern then YOU HAVE A BAD INJECTOR. Replace injector and that will solve this problem. I know this is a lot of info but It will help you alot. 2002 hyundai santa fe 2.7 multi misfire number 2and 5 cylinders

OK IS THERE IS ACTUALLY A mis-FIRE THIS VEHICLE SHOULD BE SHAKING DURING IDLE AND ACCELERATION IF IT IS, here is what you do get a noid light this used to check injector pulse. This vehicle will set a misfire code if injector is not functioning efficiently or bad. A noid light is like a test light bulb can be bought at almost any auto store.SART UP VEHICLE AND DISCONNECT THE INJECTOR WIRE TO THE CYLINDER THAT'S mis-FIRING AND CONNECT noid LIKE TO ELECTRICAL PLUG. DO THIS ONE CYLINDER AT A TIME. The nod light should have a steady flickering light/consistent pattern of flickering. If there is Gap/irratic flickering or no flickering BINGO you have found your problem. NO FLICKERING= bad/broken injector wire if not broken BAD COMPUTER/ECU. IF THE FLICKERING IS CONSISTENT /GOOD = BAD INJECTOR..replace injector and solve the misfire problem. However is all the components tested are ALL GOOD. Then the only other SOURCE for a mis-fire is the camshaft sensor that provides reference for injector pulse and the crankshaft sensor provide reference for Spark pulse. JUST ON A LAST NOTE: make sure all oils are getting electrical power to them. Good Luck I know this is alot of info at once. Contact me if you need more help. Thanks fr using FIX YA
