Question about Panasonic KX-T7730 Corded Phone
I heard my colleague phone is ringing. I want to pick up the call. How can I do that? It is an internal call.
Depending on the system the phone is connected to, you can dial 40 on the intercom or 4+1xx (the intercomed extension) to pick up the call.
40 will pick up anything ringing in your group, so if you want to be sure it's only going to answer your colleague's call, use the 41xx code.
If the code doesn't work, check out your user's guide for directed call pickup.

Yours may be different if your TA-308 is not a U.S. version, but the family is generally 40 picks up all calls in your group and 4+the ringing extension will pick it up. Just in case they have call pickup deny set (721) you'd have to cancel it with 720.

If you can dial *7801 on the intercom from your phone and it puts the system in night mode, then you can program a button to do the same. It would be better if you go to the original phone where the buttons worked and read them (PROG press the button and write down what it says).
Now go to your phone, press PROG the same button and dial the code you wrote down. In the simplest, you put 593 ENTER for DAY/NIGHT. Then PROG to exit. If you want more options, then 59x can be 0 for DAY/NIGHT/LUNCH/BREAK 1 for D/N/B 2 for D/N/L.
Every time you press the button, it will toggle to a different setting and the display will show it.

This system will have to be programmed to allow line 1 to ring on that particular set. When you pick up line 1 now and it dials out it is dialing the last number you called from the phone.

You don't. You program the System's ICD to delay ring the secondary phones. It can be done from the main system phone if allowed, but your Panasonic Installer can do it easier.
Obscurely you can make the main phone ring another phone as in Call Forward No Answer, but that creates a lot of trouble in the ability to go to voice mail and ring multiple phones.
