Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices or for Windows 7 click start right click on computer select properties in the left pane device manager scroll through all of your devices. If you see a yellow question / exclamation mark ? ! or a Red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver software. If you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver If you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it. or you might have to download them Rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours. http://download.cnet.com/slimdrivers-free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html Windows XP/Vista/7/8 This might take some time being a freeware driver solution Note: The Driver program will find all of your outdated drivers This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point. Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated. also at cnet http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for IE: Motherboard name sound drivers. Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why won't my Logitech Traackman MArble FX work with Windows 7?

If you are trying to convert your Logitech Trackman Marble FX from PS2 to USB so it will work with Windows 7, you can't just convert the port type - you have to get an "adapter" that converts the PS2 signal to a USB signal. See for ATen - UC 100KMA. WEB SIte:
http://www.aten.com/products/KVM/KVM-Modules-&-Accessories/PS2-to-USB-Adapter~UC100KMA.html#.U5sYrCi4NAE.

It allows you to convert a PS2 keyboard and PS2 mouse/trackball with the one device. It's what I use and it works just fine. The regular $2.00 port adapter was useless.

They are on EBAY sometimes for $20 or so. GOOD LUCK. :)

Right mouse button closes window

1) Can you try the mouse in a different machine? Does it do the same thing?
2) Check your settings in 'SetPoint' software, or go to your Control Panel and check your mouse settings - you may have accidentally changed the settings for your mouse keys somehow.

3) Download the latest drivers for your mouse and re-install.

T-ch11 driver

Use mw9421enu.exe for the old Trackman Marble T-CH11. Newer mouseware versions do not fully support the Trackman Marble. Well, the mw9791enu.exe driver set works, except no picture of the T-CH11 model is displayed so a generic mouse is all you see. Use the mw9421enu.exe set to operate the T-CH11 with Windows XP.

I clean my marble with a mild dish soap. Dry. Then spray the ball with Pledge or some other furniture polish. Let dry for a few minutes and then polish with a lint free cloth. I have to do mine every 6 months or so. When cleaning the contacts I only use a small paintbrush. If you get alcohol on the sensory window, although using a q-tip, you can still scratch the surface.

Good Luck...
