1) You have leaking water heater.

2) I do not know what is meant by 'top seal' since that is not typical water heater part.
Does you product manual show a top seal?
Add comment and describe the top seal and add what it does.

3) Attach a photo.

SOURCE: There is water leakage from the top of the water

It is rare for water heaters to rust out on top, so I would assume it instead was a loose input, output, or anode. With water and gas or electricity off, disconnect the input, output, and remove anode rod.
Seal with teflon tape and replace. If the anode looks corroded, then replace it.

SOURCE: which one is compatable water heater to Rheemglas

You have 6-year 50 gallon gas water heater:
42V50 would be the newer model number. They make tall and short models.
http://www.rheem.com/product.aspx?id=CC643E03-4C15-4775-B139-E504A95651F7

All brands of water heater are good.
So any 50 gallon gas water heater from local box store or hardware is good product.
Tanks with longer warranty last longer. So 9-year and 12-year water heater will last longer, unless you have very hard water or odor in water and need to change frequently.
I recommend avoiding water heaters with electronic controls since they are not protected from power surge and can cost more to repair.

I have a Rheemglas 130 litre gas storage system. Does anyone know where the anode is placed as the unit is covered in foam?

Usually inserted from the top. There is a threaded piece, to which it is either attached, or by which it is held in place. The isolation valve will need to be shut off, or, lacking one of those, shut off the house water main. A tool that applies vibration and torque simultaneously will be needed to free it. ALL WATER IN THE HOME, THAT IS ABOVE THE WATER HEATER, MAY DRAIN SLOWLY THROUGH THE OPENING, WHILE YOU ARE CHANGING IT OUT. Therefore you must have the replacement on hand. If there is visible rust around the nut you will be loosening, there is a chance you will have to replace the heater. Good luck!

Corroding top of rheemglas 21vr50-2t

Corrosion caused by condensed acidic water dripping down vent pipe, bad venting pushing acidic combustion by-product out of vent hood, trace chemicals stored in same room as water heater, dielectric corrosion because water pipes not grounded, hot water pipe above tank is not insulated and condensation dripping down on top of tank ... are things that come to mind.

I have a Park Model RV with a Rheemglas Fury model 81VP205 with no bottom drain. How do I drain the water heater to winterize for the cold Northern Winters?

Make sure it's off (hydro) and open drain at cold line going in bottom wherever you find a drain (usually close to it) going down through floor and outside under trailer. Follow cold line back until you see a line "T" and one line going down under trailer, and open it up underneath. Then open pressure relief valve at top of tank to allow for faster draining .

I have a 21v40-7 rheemglas waterheater that is leaking from the line where the blue cap and the white water heater meets why is this happening?

If you see water at the top of the water heater you should take a rag and dry everything well, you should be able to see where the leak is from, if it leaks from the metal "housing" up you probably need a new water heater

I have a Rheemglas 50 gal electric water heater. It is 6 years old. It has always worked fine without any issues. I recently drained it and refilled it. I notice from time to time that water is draining...

Hello, It sounds like your T & P relief valve is leaking and needs to be replaced. Over the years, corrosion prevents the valve from sealing properly if it's been opened. It is usually threaded into the top or upper side of the water heater with a pvc pipe attached to it for drainage. If you want to replace this valve, you can buy it at any hardware or home improvement store. Turn off the cold water shutoff valve on the top of the water heater and open the lever on the T & P valve to let it drain out the water. When the water level reaches below the T & P valve, it will stop draining. Then disassemble the pvc pipe if it's threaded, or if it's glued, cut off a section or fitting and replace it with a new one when you reassemble it. Use teflon tape to seal the threads on the new T & P valve. Wrap it around the threads 3-4 times in a clockwise direction with the threads pointed at you. To remove the T & P valve, you can use a 3/4" x 6" black iron or galvanized nipple as a leverage tool to untwist the valve from the water heater. Turn the cold water back on and make sure your thread seal is holding before filling it up all the way. Good luck! Douglas

A2 error on Bosch tankless water heater

  1. Check continuity of the flue gas limiter (see Fig. 63, page 46 of manual). Go to steps two and three to determine air box temperature sensor fault and replace it.
  2. Check for flue gas leakage around the top and bottom seals of heat exchanger as well as the viewing window.
  3. Check that venting is within specifications (see Section 3.3 of manual). Long vent lengths, venting with more than three elbows, blocked vent or combination venting may cause this failure.
  4. Check that flue gas limiter connector and spade connections are secure.
  5. Unplug heater and check the two main plug connections inside the control board.
