Acer Travelmate LCD light is off

During the past weeks ,after booting, my screen was pink for few seconds.
and sometimes it would go dark.Moving the lid up and down would solve the issue but now, even after replacing the inverter board the screen stays dark. I can see the desktop only under strong direct light. Could it be the connections with the motherboard and if so How can I reach the connection to the mobo?
Could it be the backlight? I bought a new backlight because I want to try the cheapest way.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
