F61 means a protection code which normally means there is a fault with the audio output IC. Check all your cables for shorts etc, and try hooking it back up. If the error is still there you'll have to put it in for service.
ALL THE BEST!
Your CD player was made by/for Lennox Electronics and sold through Wal Mart under the Durabrand name brand. The good news is that it appears the model is still available. You should be able to determine if you can order individual parts by calling 1-800-315-5885. For your reference, you can download the manual for your player here: http://www.lenoxx.com/2005/manuals/CD56/CD-56(IB).pdf
Good luck! Please let me know if this helps and also rate my service if you deem it appropriate.
I had the same problem and went to the Bose Tech Support site and found this solution. It allowed me to eject the stuck CD. The same problem happened again when I tried to enter another CD but after repeating the process below the CD ejected again and after that it worked fine.
Hope it works for you.
Try performing a reset with your Wave® music system upside down:
Unplug the system, flip it upside down, place it on a firm, level surface, then plug it back in again
If the CD ejects when you do this, the system may need to be serviced. Contact Bose® Technical Support or call 1-800-278-1281
