Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

My Panasonic CT-3263W wont stop making buzzing noises, no matter what I do. I can only turn the tv off or mute it to stop the problem. It's not enjoyable watching a show on mute. What do I do?

Does not matter if I go to cable, DVD, SAT, VCR, playstation... etc. As I turn up the volume the buzzing increases. I believe the buzzing is coming from my speakers, how do you propose I fix this problem?

SOURCE: sound problems

Make sure it is not a problem with the DTV reciever first by connecting up another smaller TV set to that reciver. if it is the TV set for sure, a cheap fix would be to run the audio outputs of the DTV reciever to a small stereo or a powered speaker. Good Luck

SOURCE: Sony Bravia XBR-2 32-inch LCD with popping noise problem

Has anyone heard of something like this where the cable box/service is causing popping sounds? yes & it is common problem. And is this something I should be concerned about causing damage to the TV's speakers? not at all. The Sony tech-support representative (over the phone) diagnosed it further to a problem not with the TV but with the cable box/service because there were no popping sounds when I played a DVD on my Playstation 2 that is attached to the TV. they are right that your problem is not due to tv. it is due to cable box/service? yes but not defective it reqires to change the way you have connected tv to cable.please call tech to get it connected in such a way so that you do not get popping sound when you you put off cable box.

Try adjusting cables connecting dvd to tv. If this doesn't work try a different cable.

SOURCE: panasonic CT-32SL14 flat screen tv stopped working

I dont know if this will help anyone....but I opened the TV up and found a blown fuse right wherer the power cable connects. I replaced the fuse and while doing so noticed alot of dust and what seemed like part of a spider web. I got a can of compressed air and cleaned it up. Once I put in the new fuse the TV worked perfectly.

SOURCE: quasar 1989 tv makes a buzzing motor sound

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, if you have confirmed that the source of the buzzing sound is from inside the TV, then that would indicate a component about to fail or would need attention. Let us try process of elimination:

  • tuner - most unlikely, the tuner is responsible for selecting the channel. No component/part of the tuner could make such a mechanical buzzing sound;
  • speaker(s) - most unlikely, the speaker could have a buzz but generally would not affect the video nor cause snow (weak TV signals);
  • transformer - a strong possibility although without knowing the exact model, at most generic ideas; power transformer, flyback transformer, horizontal drive transformer (unlikely);
  • arcing - another strong possibility. This could be caused by damp, dusty surroundings of the components especially at the FBT area. Another area that could have adverse effect when dusty/damp would be the anode cap.
This of course would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Panasonic TX-P50G20B how do I fix a buzzing noise coming from the central circuit board on the back of the tv

Buzzing noises come from transformers.. use a plastic pen to push down on each transformer in turn to find which one it is, then replace it.
no end of glue or resin or anything can stop the buzzing so just replace it..
good luck !

Lg lcd tv buzzing sound

You have problems on the sound portion of your board. It could be a bad solder joint causing it to arc to another component or to ground. It could also be just a plain ole bad Amplifier or something. When you mute it you turn all the voltage off to your AF Amps and naurally the noise will stop. Find the sound board and check it for cold solder joints.

I have a panasonic ct-32d32f tv and it will not turn on

Check its horizontal scan output transistor. Replace it with same number and check. If this transistor is faulty, this kind of fault can occur to most Panasonic TVs. If you wish to get some details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Timeslide / Flipcard, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name / model number / IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

No matter how much I clean the machine after it is turned on for 10 min or more it starts to buzz and make a static noise, any other suggestions?

The buzzing noise is not from dust in the air purifier, it's from the dust and pollutants in the air, it's now picking up. It should stop once the air is cleaned.

I think maybe the G-board needs to be replaced. A TV shop will have to repair it. They normally start around $200.00

Buzzing sound, no picture on my Panasonic TV

You might have a short causing the set not to start. Probably in the horizontal/high voltage circuit. The buzzing sound that you're hearing is the power supply overloaded. Stargazer
