SOURCE: oster regency kitchen center meat grinder attachment

What exactly are you having problems? Setting up the grinder? The hopper inserts into the back side of the mixer head locks in place with a set screw. Then insert the piece that looks like an auger push it all the way back. next, comes the four blade knife it looks like this " + " if look at the center of the blade you will notice a square hole on one side place that side towards the auger. Then there are your grinder attatchments I only have two,one coarse, one fine. place one of them against the blades placing the tabs in the cutouts on the discharge end. mext there is a large metal cap thread this on the discharge. Set the control to grind and the speed to 10. You are set to go. cut the meat into strips or chunks that will fit down the infeed and use the plastic plunger to push them into the auger.

We had this problem too. We switched to the Electrosol tabs (with the red dot in the middle) for soap, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Make sure you have the rinse aid in there too. Good luck!

You can buy parts for your machine here:

http://www.mykitchencenter.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=1359

You may have to call them and inquire as to the specific part you need - they also have used parts that they sell.

You cannot wash aluminum items in a diswasher with phosphate based detergent. You'll corrode the aluminum. Best practice is to handwash any aluminum items. Phosphate over time will also etch your glasses, so I suggest always using a non-phosphate detergent - look for Seventh Generation or similar "Eco-friendly" detergents - it will save your glassware too.

Oster regency parts

There are all kinds of Oster Kitchen Center parts and attachments for sale on Ebay. Here is another site that sells Regency parts: http://www.Goodman's.net

Can you help me with my Regency problem? I bought a used one with the hopes of using a lot of the attachments including a meat grinder (did not come with), but now after receiving the OKC there is no hole in the side of the mixer arm to attach the grinder - there is a metal circle. Do I need to punch out this circle - like an electrician does with an electrical box? HELP

Black Residue on meat using Kitchenaid meat grinder attachment

This is a common issue with the Kitchenaid food grinder. The black residue is a product of the meat itself.

With Kitchenaid Food Grinder Attachments, it is recommended that the meat be partially frozen before grinding. This is to ensure a quality grind and to make sure the meat holds all its juices while grinding.

If any juices from the meat are leaked into the food grinder, the friction will cause a chemical reaction and turn the juice from the meat into a black substance.
